At any point will there be more HUD configuration options?
I'd love the ability to move a few things around on my HUD. The default positions are actually pretty bad. If I was a real pilot I would have already whanged my HUD tech on the head with a wrench.
One of the most glaring issues is the location of the mini-map. It makes it almost impossible to take tactical advantage of the high ground since it blocks any target below you. It would be really nice to have the option to move it, or even just turn it off and on.

Prevelence Of River City
26 February 2013 - 08:22 PM
I know I am biased against the map. I hate it. I know there are two versions. I hate both of them.
I realize this is anecdotal, but I have seen since the last patch a three to four fold increase in the number of river city maps. It's river city all day and all night, and occasionally ONE occurrence of another map.
I didn't think much about it (except that random map rotations are annoying and should be done away with) until I heard someone mention that a lot of people (by which I mean perhaps enough to significantly affect the map rotation) were using some kind of method to avoid dropping on certain maps or to gain a better chance of dropping on a chosen map.
While I'm aware this is a wild and unsubstantiated claim, it would explain why I get (almost) nothing but River City drops. I started counting and back when the old rotation was in, the most I ever got the same map in a row was 9 times (Frozen City). To give you an idea of how bad it is, I'm getting River City Day 10 or 12 times in a row, and then River City Night 10 or 12 times in a row.
And River City is about to make me shelve this game for a while. FFS at least rotate the bases 90'

Shutdown/overheat Bugs
31 January 2013 - 05:50 PM
The new shutdown/overheat procedures are horrible. The override key is less horrible, but who cares I just set it to auto tap every 4 seconds this point.
Because if I don't then I am subjected to a plethora of bugs. Almost a 100% increase in the shutdown HUD bug. Moving while shutdown. And the worst, the double shutdown.
Trying to restart the mech while shutdown from heat (which is what the override key does) results almost always in a double shutdown. You power back up from the emergency shutdown, only to immediately power down again.
I have no idea why the change was implemented, the system was working just fine, and now it's klunky, more confusing, and buggy.

Patch Fail
25 January 2013 - 06:22 PM
Problem: Current patch once again fails to include a purchasable Clown Hat for my Commando
Solution: Include Purchasable Clown Hat and also "Big Red Shoes" for Commando in the next patch.
Suggestion: Implement Clown Car Class Dropship
