I noticed that the ISN Newsflashes aren't on the frontpage anymore, why is that?
I liked having them on the frontpage, I check it every time I log in, and the tiny bit of fluff between sales and other game related posts was refreshing, reminding me of the universe that brought me to the game. I opened up the game client, and the newsflashes are still on the homepage there, so why not on the site itself?
If you are already set on not having them there, could someone at least tell me the reasoning?
Thank you for reading this.

Extract Sound Files?
24 January 2013 - 01:37 PM
So, I typically have the MW2 startup dialog play whenever I log into my computer, but I want to switch to MWO's sound clip.
I have had no luck getting this file, I have tried using FMOD, the program recommended to open the sound files, but, when I click play, it says file not found, and I have no clue what else to try.
Any ideas? Has anyone found the files, and are we allowed to share them if we do?
Anyone from PGI willing/able to post it somewhere, like you did with the trailer music?

My Targe(S)

So, you could say I'm obsessed with a certain mech. It is in my name, and I credit this mech with my discovery of mechwarrior.
This mech, is the Targe. (go by the Dark Age model, not the TRO (Yes, I play Dark Age, I can feel your hatred))
I have used many mediums to create Targes, so I will now share them with you.
This first one was done in 3DS Max, and is actually the second Targe I've created digitally, but, the first one was in High School, and I have no records of it (It was on AutoCAD 2008)

Yeah, I wasn't that good at that program, too artsy, not engineering focused enough for my tastes
Next, I got to play with the modern version of AutoCAD (wonderful program toplay on Do school related activities on... yeah

I think I do rather well on CAD software, compared to artsy software. 3 years of AutoCAD in HS helped.

I still haven't figured out the Ortho stuff, but here it is.

LEGOs!
I claim no credit on this, all Primus, see more of his work here: http://www.brickcomm...r.com/index.htm
So there you have it, folks, now all I need is access to a 3D printer again.

Walk us through the creation of a 'mech
13 June 2012 - 06:33 PM
So, I was watching the online chat with Art Director Dennis de Koning, and he was describing the time it took to create a 'mech, from sketch to being in-game. I think this would be great for a Dev-Blog, maybe with in progress shots, sketches, and so on. Walk us through the thought process, how you manage to make each 'mech unique, yet instantly recognizable.
So, we know the starter 'Mechs, but, what about Variants?

Basically, I want to know if we're stuck with the Prime variants to select from.
I plan on running a close in heavy, so, the standard Catapult would be pretty useless to me, being a long range fire support design.
