Holding open tournaments and giving official names to the winners seems to be the best and fairest way to do it, it both limits the number of names to a reasonable amount and keeps the names among the strongest players (which makes sense) without locking new people out of them because they were not first to grab them

In Topic: The AC-10 is really a better choice than the AC-20?

I'd rather take a Gauss over either of those TBH, the big AC's just don't do it for me when I see a gauss that is just a few extra tons and a much better alternative in my opinion :)

In Topic: anyone ever build with smaller missiles? LRM5/10/15 or SRM2/4?

If I just look at the stats quickly on sarna it seems like they are actually MORE effective if you use them in smaller versions?

LRM 20 is 10 tons and 5 crits while 4 LRM 5's are 8 tons and 4 crits? (2 tons and 1 crit each).

Exactly how this will work in this game with the hardpoints and other tweaks I don't know
