Enough with the stunlock crying: if you get knocked over and killed then you where in a position to get knocked over and killed... find a better position.
No knockdowns means no DFA, no significant damage from collisions, no piloting ability except point and click and no mech sim aspects. Before you put on the semantic pants I'm not saying bring back Dragon-bowling; I'm saying if my Dragon hits a Jenner while I'm doing 90kph that Jenner should be on it's back... as should a Cicada... maybe the more robust Mediums could take the hit and not fall... but only if they have a good pilot. If my Dragon hits an Atlas while I'm doing 90 then I should probably loose an arm at least... but he should be knocked about also... RAISE THE SKILL CAP!
I thought we signed up for Mechwarrior not MechAssault?

If you want a Hero Mech get a Flame: AC20 4 Med. Las., STD300, DHS, Endo, full armor... great speed, turning circle, etc...it's a death machine.
EDIT: Also, the Cataphract 3D is an awesome mixed range mech; you don't have to be a poptart. Does really with with a STD275, AC20, ERPPC and 3 Med. Las.. You can engage from most ranges and hurt a bit.
But seriously, you'll never regret a Jenner.

hey, I got a question.
Considering this is a (very) little apm game, what is this "skill" you are referring to?

Putting 'Actions Per Minute' on par with skill is a RTS game error. Further, the APM equals skill argument is a bit flat as far as arguments go as you are asserting that any learned behaviour is mastered if you do it fast enough(bonsai tree makers want a word).
The most skillful players I have seen in MWO are those who know when, where and how to achieve the best posible responses from their enemy and team mates in order to assure victory; often times thses players end the game with few kills, assists or damage bonuss but can undoubtedly claim the win as theirs; cunning and quick wits beat super-clicky in the skill department.

1). Except PGI isn't the one handing out the licenses, FASA or Microsoft or whoever does.
2). Quality control is extremely difficult, you have to figure out the balance of both sides and search every nook and cranny of the maps for invisible walls or places where you can get stuck.
1). Provisional Outsource Agreement(sub-contracting) with simple, non-negotiable clauses. Just like websites like Elance, etc...
2). Have maps submitted as a 'wireframe' of sorts at pre-rendering stage. These could be put on the public test server for 'playability test' or something.
In Topic: Can We Buff Srms Already?

I'm still loading up on SRMs in the hope that keeping my SRM use up to speed will one day be rewarded with a buff to said SRMs... my relationship with SRMs is akin to a Catholics relationship with guilt(it hurts me but one day it'll give me Paradise... right?).
