I was surprised to see a World of Twits gamecard at Target. It got me thinking about that possibility for MW:O.
Wouldn't it be cool to be able to purchase MC via a gamecard you could snag at a brick and mortar place? A nice and shiny artwork masterpiece with the slick MW:O logo on the front, legal babble and a scratcher redeem code on the back.
I realize printing, logistics, Canadian dampness would be a problem. It's just a silly idea that occured to me, but it might not be a bad one sometime in the MW:O future.

An Ode to Pending
In the darkness that's descending, my eyes grow weary from re-sending
my information, for I'm intending to pilot mechs once more.
Alas I must just keep pretending that these wishes never-ending
Will not happen with this "PENDING", this "PENDING" evermore.
"It will pass!" I spluttered, "It's no big thing this pend thing, only vapor, go to the store."
But upon my returning with my innards slightly churning,
This burrito's really burning! I hurried across the floor.
And there it is, ascending, as I scroll up this darned thing
A bigass yellow "PENDING", my status, evermore.
Quoth the Raven, "status: nevermore*beep*"

It's been a very long time, and not steeped in the lore of Battletech as one of my age should be. I'm looking forward to this upcoming release with great anticipation. From what I've seen in the few released pics and videos it looks stunning. Something occured to me though as I looked at and watched this material.
Aren't mechs fighting on alien worlds? This realization that yes, they are, brought about my next puzzling thought.
How the heck did pine trees get there?
Looking through things again I noticed everything is very earth-like. There could be some reason for this that I don't know. Maybe all of the planets are terraformed? Or someone went nuts a la Johny Appleseed?
I think it might be kind of cool to get a little freaky with some of the terrain. I think it would even make more sense. Instead of pine trees say giant mushroom-coral-vine hybrid mutant things. Weird stuff!
Honestly, shouldn't alien pines LOOK alien?
