Developers have said that the auto cannons are were they want them to be and i agree. they cant keep changing random weapon values every time someone gets beat by them. you have to flank an auto cannon mech because it cant brawl at all. i prefer those ENTIRELY over gauss cataphracts or gauss cats. I do believe they are going to give the Ac20 a knockdown though so when that gets implemented i am sure everyone here will forget about the OMG AC2 thing and just complain about that.

How are you going to do matchmaking?

i agree i have grinded from trial to my own scout to assault 5 times. I'm tired of it and although i wont do the scout thing i know many who are and i agree that it is justifiable. The no starting money is stupid and trial mechs dont make enough. There is no way to close this loophole. You started the game, you played badly, you died. You cant penalize someone for dying and if you do what about the people who don't suicide scout. Also if you do something where if you die within x time of starting, no one will engage cause you could get headshot and make no money. The only fix i see is if you get to PICK your trial mechs and you have to pick one from each weight class. As it is i do not like piloting any of the current trials and the ones they pick are always uninteresting. Other than that give players 3mil so they can buy a basic scout and play using their own mech and get rid of the moronic trial grind. PGI can quick fix this all they want it will only screw over people who actually play and inevitably open another loophole for people who dont want to play.
