To quote Logan Pryde "you bring up a great point MOK, the opens are really what made this league so much fun, and really a community more than a league. any night of the week you could jump into one of many opens and just have a blast for hours with not only teammates, but create relationships with your most heated rivals as well. on CJF comms, the opens were just unbelievable fun...back then we were all pretty...well, lets just say *rowdy*. most of us would be hammered to the point of just slurring back and forth on comms, and the most raunchy, inhumane filth bantered back and forth among us. man, i wish i had recorded many of those nights on comms!
i remember one night when we were all pounding the beers really hard, some guy from the UTS league jumped onto one of the NBT pubs. we had a full 8 =CJF= against a mixed nbt pug on the other side. at this time in the league, we were starting to be pretty successful....well, this pug just completely wiped the floor with us. the UTS guy goes, "damn, i thought those guys were supposed to be good...they suck!" then Sihaya answers him "no, they are all just sh1tfaced......"
As an exclusive 'open' player, to all the great league players whom I had the pleasure to play alongside, to play against, who schooled an idiot like me, and who eventually became my mentors to endless games of pure fun, strategy, and mayhem. I salute you!
