I am disappoint.
Thanks For The Double Xp Weekend
01 April 2013 - 05:05 AM
I finally had more time to play and the game's more stable than ever for me so I managed to get my Hunchies their elites, work on the Jager on my free account to get all basics, and max out my Founder's Jenner (1 efficiency to go). In the past I could not drive any mech pas 100 kph due to rubberbanding, but it's running fine now and my Jenner's doing 138 no problems!
Once state rewind for ballistics and missiles roll in, I'll have no more issues playing light mechs with the lag shield advantage removed. I'll probably need to buy more mechbays soon though.
If PGI releases enough items that need GXP and combine their double XP weekends with the conversion promo, it might be a decent boost to revenue if done at the right times. Right now the modules are looking better, but we probably need a lot more options to unlock before the GXP train starts rolling.
Also consider using GXP for other things like merc corps, CW, and others. It's something that free players can earn and can be monetized with conversions and premium and based on how the Coolant module issue was addressed, it appears to be a very acceptable option for the majority.
Well, off to grind that last basic efficiency on my Jenner~

Mwo Future Tutorial References - Link Your Fave Tutorial Videos From Other Games
27 March 2013 - 06:25 AM
This is just a thread of ideas that can perhaps help us and PGI decide what we want for our future MWO new player tutorial. Link videos on your favorite game tutorials and point out which parts you like the best and how we can apply it to MWO.
No bashing or non-constructive posts please. Not all tutorials are perfect, but perhaps we can get enough links and pick the good parts from the ones people show here. You can add a small write-up on why you like a particular tutorial.
If the video you find is long, go to this site to get the link to a specific part of the video (to save us the time viewing non-related parts.
This is the one I really like:

Why I like it:
- Has arrows that point where to go.
- Basic controls pointed out.
- You get to fire the basic weapons at targets which can be a huge thing for MWO.
- Simple.
- Map tutorial: Assault - Walk to enemy base and cap, Conquest - Walk to capture points and cap. Can double as movement tutorial.
- Weapons fire - This is huge. Let new players try out all the basic weapons so we see less LRMs fired under 180m and that players can decide what weapon types they are comfortable with before purchasing their first mech.
4Uac Suicide Jager Build Discussion
19 March 2013 - 08:40 PM
Just looking to optimize an already suicidal build just for fun (and apologies to future team mates that I drop with in the near future). Maybe someone can come up with something more practical for this very unpractical build?
A quick one I came up with is this - Jager 4xUAC5 V 0.1
8 tons of ammo and almost no armor on the legs and back and 30ish armor on arms/side torso and 40 CT. I don't know if it will live long enough for me to dump my ammo. Total armor is 208.
I might move the ammo to the torso since the legs are like worse than paper thin. More like wet-tissue thin.

The K2 Gunbarrels (As Of March 19 Patch)

Here's the AC/20 K2

Here's the Gauss Rifle K2

I'm liking it! Thanks MWO Art Guys
Edit:
Note that my computer sucks (3core and 4 years old) and this is at lowest setting.
