Been a Mechwarrior player for quite a while now. My first MW game wasn't actually MW1 or MW2, but MW3. I still play MW4 to this day and I have played the MechAssault games for the Xbox....the latter a secret shame. I have played and thoroughly enjoyed the second MechCommander game. Lastly, I love reading the books. Just recently finished collecting the last of the Twilight of the Clans series and are looking to find more of the older books.

I'm somewhat of a fan of the Clans, my favorite being Clan Star Adder. My favorite mech, mirroring both my love of assault mechs and my favorite Clan is the Blood Asp.

However, since MWO has come about I've acquired an admiration for the IS and the sacrifices one makes when fitting a mech with Inner Spere tech. It really doesn't have the whole "Have your cake and eat it" that Clan tech allows. Either you have a ton of weapons and little armor or less weapons and more armor. As mentioned above, I'm mostly assault or heavy so speed isn't an issue for me too much.
