A thought on flanking. The basic principle of this tactic is to scout out the most vulnerable groups within an armed force, generally its flanks, and attacking them first. Defense from flanking involves doing some scouting of your own to detect separate enemy groups.

Thought on fighting the Clans. Their front-line 'Mechs are extremely well armed and armored, but there's also few of those such units, as they're very expensive to construct. A thought on snipers. As powerful as their armament may be, it is highly specialized and limited to direct fire weapons. Use a recon 'Mech, fast and difficult for the sniper to detect, as spotter for your indirect fire weapons, which can counter attack snipers without exposing your 'Mech.

Replaying MechWarrior 3, I had a thought on killing filthy clanners... Their fancy 'Mechs are no good if you drop a bridge on them. I hope there will be bridges on MechWarrior Online.
