Started playing table top Battletech back in late 80s. Have played all the PC Mechwarrior games and Mech Commander games. Waited forever for Mechwarrior 2 to come out and bought it the first day I unpacked it when working at BestBuy (couldn't believe it when I opened that box of software). Have read a bunch of the Battletech books. But lost track of the game when it went to the Dark Ages stuff. Story line sounded ok, but I heard game play wasn't as fun. Hopefully this reboot will fix a lot of that and bring back more table top play.
