I have the basic version, because I had the GXP and 360 Target is plain useless for a light pilot.

... honestly? It's overpowered even at 200 metres. I'm currently completely unflankable... and seeing how the dots move is giving me the ability to backshot multiple mechs in rapid succession, and evading their pursuit while cooling off.

At 400 metres you'd need something as broken as LRMs are in their current state to have any chance of hitting me at all.

The Target Info module it replaced on my loadout wasn't half as effective as this.

It might be good to limit the detection to one mech maximum, or maybe to update the dots less frequently. At the moment it basically invalidates information warfare in favour of grinding.

You're forgetting the greatly amplified splash damage. The damage is much closer to 1 dps per streak missile all included, or 4 dps in the usual 2x configuration... about equal to 3 medium pulses if all shots hit, except very few pilots ever hit me with lasers at all.

I've not died to any laser users any more often than 5% of the time even as a CDA-3M pilot for a while. Most of the time it's because of accurate shots with PPCs, AC/20 and Gauss (60% ish), and the rest are to tracking missiles. Unguided SRMs are so rare nowadays I can't evaluate its effectiveness against me since... it isn't used against me. This was prior to patch.

Now it's nearer to 40% death from LRMs, 30% from streaks and 30% from PPC-AC/20-Gauss. Haven't died to lasers yet since the patch.

It's not a suggestion. It's advice. :D

And don't forget the splash increase. That's actually the main reason why the missiles are all currently broken... even the flight path isn't as bad.

True on the errors. I'm having trouble fixing the url and I have no idea why.



Fixed now. Apparently the URL doesn't update unless you remove and readd one of the weapons, which is why that bugged url made it into the post.

Leg total armour is still 66. That's higher than any of the torsos... while there are leg aimers and such, most weapons and players still aim for the torso. Such as counter-LRM fire.

Mind you, I'm not hoping to see more of these in the game. Just consider me a 'white hat hacker'.

Also, from a few games it appears false that the crazy trajectory only happens when spotted. It happened to me when an Atlas LRM boat was the *only* mech left on the field, so...



Honestly, don't go nerfing the LRM damage again after this. Just keep splash far, far away from missiles and we'll all be fine.

P.S. It's not just LRMs. Due to the splash thing, Streakcheesers are even more cheesy now than before as well.
