Well, to be honest, if you already had a CRITICAL DAMAGE or MISSILES INCOMING already flashing, they're the same color, location and font, it's pretty damn easy to miss.

I think most of the good stuff has been mentioned, but in terms of minimum chat functionality:

1) General Global channel for just random discussion
2) Help Channel focused on helping new people or asking general questions regarding the game
3) Private discussion between 1 or more individuals
4) Merc Group Discussion
5) Faction chat wouldn't be bad, not sure if its needed

I'm mainly a light pilot, and I cap all the time, especially at the start of the match. Why? A few reasons:

1) If I go cap, even if I'm not planning on capturing the point and ending the game, it will force the opposition to deal with it, meaning some of their mechs are now coming my way. If I've managed to draw more than 1 mech to chase me, that means the rest of my team has the numbers advantage. I've done my job, hopefully the bigger mechs will have a better chance of winning the initial engagement. If I'm successful in drawing some enemies my way, depending on the odds/mechs I'll either engage them or flee to harass their other mechs elsewhere.

2) If nobody does follow me, well, then, you're dumb. Its the game mode.

3) However, if I'm capping and I noticed we're winning, I'll stop and join in on the blowing up of the other team.

4) If we're losing, I'll cap that. Why would I choose to lose?

Is the plan to always have a strict weight to weight matching? I'd really prefer there to be a tolerance, not just strict 1:1 matching. That way the composition of the team remains a little bit of a mystery, which adds to the fun element of the game for me. Knowing the exact makeup of the enemy team based on mine is a little boring.

Are there any plans to update the reward system for conquest? It seems strange that there are no awards or exp given for actually capturing a point
