The idea _I_ pitched was to have it be a formulae of speed/weight with less frequent pings going out :)

If it's percentage based - doesn't that make 4x LRM5 better than 1x LRM20? That actually ends up hurting LRM's, as you need a giant stream of missiles to get through it.. but you don't have a long time with the enemy in the open, right?
