Hit Your Premium Boost Button Now.

29 November 2012 - 05:20 PM

You should hit your premium boost button now, instead of later. Yes, folks worry "I'm burning money by hitting the button" but don't think "I'm losing C-Bills big time by NOT hitting the button".

That button isn't going to be worth any more in the future. Even if you never plan to buy another premium millisecond, it's still dumb to wait on using it. Using it now gives you more money, which lets you buy better mechs/equipment, which means you make MORE money now.

Waiting means having less C-Bills now, less equipment now, fewer mechs now, worse mechs now, and losing more matches. All of that adds up to making far, far less than you'd have by just taking your bonus.

This doesn't even consider that if there's a sale on premium time later, you'll be in a worse position to take advantage of it, as you've already got three months a button click away.

If you are having trouble with the concept, consider that money now is worth more than money later. That's the entire point behind charging interest in a loan, or collecting it on your savings accounts. By the same token, C-Bills are worth far more now than later.

So punch the button already and enjoy the money rolling in.

Founder's Gift Availability?

18 September 2012 - 09:40 PM

Will there ever be support for buying founder's as a gift to another person?

There are people who aren't going to accept cash, but I'd like to be able to buy other players a founder's pack or mech credits.

It would also be good to have a box to check to make it anonymous.

Anyone who likes the idea of getting Christmas presents may want to check the "Like This" box.

I expect betas will be drawn from Founder's Pack Buyers.

13 June 2012 - 05:13 PM

I expect that, after the founder's packs go on sale, that the Lucky Beta Testers™ will be drawn from the pool of Founder's Pack purchasers.

Undoubtedly, many people who've registered have since moved on. This makes for worthless beta testers, who still must be tracked. Founder's pack purchasers are motivated and will obviously be playing, so they'll be more reliable beta testers.

Those who've already paid for a Founder's Pack are going to be even less likely to break NDA because they have correspondingly more to lose.

It is my hope that we will be able to buy a Super Majestic 4 Mech Founders Pack which includes all 4 mechs, and lots and lots of filthy in-game currency. I also hope we will be able to purchase multiple packs, to give to friends, or children when they get old enough.
