Hah, ten to one the stupid FedSuns are getting "advice" from their "allies" in the Lyran half about financial matters.

For those that do not understand, this gives the D-Bill more buying power. Good for the Davion dogs right?

Maybe in the short term for their uneducated citizens, who will be able to buy more toys for their childlike minds. However who will be making those toys? It now costs more to make products in the Davion half of their evil "super"state. So who will make those toys?

Do I even have to say it?

I wouldn't be surprized if the Lyrans are artificially keeping their L-Bill low in order to gain an advantage economically before they combine their state officially (when does that happen again, when that little gremlin Victor reaches maturity or something?)

I'll give the Lyrans something. They now how to make moiney. They can't fight worth a damn without help from their "allies" but they're certainly smarter than them. I'm sure their factories are turning out wallsize trivids and such at a super rate now.

This is merely the criminals of House Davion attempting through financial warfare to disrupt the economy of the Inner Sphere. Obviously, they have no true claim as the heirs of the Star League, nor any honor as warriors; they must thus use this base and cowardly strategem to illegally gain hegemony and proclaim themselves your masters. When the Draconis Combine assumes control of the Inner Sphere, as is its right and destiny, such blatant piracy will not be tolerated, and the peace loving people of the Inner Sphere will no longer have to fear the banks and lawyers of the Federated Suns.

Just like in real life. The almighty C-Bill is currently equal to the poorly performing U-Bill. LOL ;)

D-bill? When did that happen?

The Federated Suns' unit of currency is the Pound, is it not?

Though... with the FedSuns using the Pound and the Lyrans using the Kroner, which - if either - would/should become the official currency of the Federated Commonwealth?

D-Bill is just a nickname for it. It's money, cashola, greenbacks, bucks, clams, scratch, etc.

And that would be?

Not much to report here but for those who aren't well versed in BT Lore (or English)

D-Bill (Davion HOUSE currency)

C-Bill (Comstar currency. Accepted across the Inner Sphere as the gold standard)

Parity means equal value

This means that House Davion is doing very well financially (which is odd since Steiner are usually thought of as the "flush house")

So that means that in the game Comstar and House davion's prices for weapons and other stuff will be the same right?!

Quote

During the Star League era (2571-2785), a common currency was used throughout the Inner Sphere in form of Star League scrip which was standardized on the amount of germanium in Fort Knox on Terra (germanium being a key component to early Kearney-Fuchida drives). Once the Succession Wars broke out, each of the five great house leaders began issuing currency bearing their own likeness. These currencies would later become known as House Bills (or H-Bills), the value of which was based on the house's economic fortunes. The Star League scrip was eventually discontinued.

The C-Bill originated from early ComStar's Letter of Credit, which detailed the value of ComStar's communication services to the Great Houses and the public. Approved in 2835 the C-Bill was intended as a method of payment for those services, its value based on a fixed amount of ComStar service, transmission time, or delivery distance. Because of the uncertainty of the exchange rates for H-Bills, many mercenary units would request payments for their contracts be in C-Bills to ensure a consistent payment basis. As a result of this and interstellar trade in general, the C-Bill became a common currency throughout the Inner Sphere and the Periphery, in many places replacing the local H-Bills.

If Ghost were online (which is odd that he isn't) he could probably dig up a ton more.
