Unable to play, right after patching update, after login it crashes immediately

"Application Unexpectedly Terminated"

and if I check on Event Viewer I get this error detail.
Faulting application name: MWOClient.exe, version: 1.4.222.0, time stamp: 0x5e2b86fb
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18015, time stamp: 0x50b8479b

Faulting process id: 0x3b94
Faulting application start time: 0x01d6005cf95bbec4
Faulting application path: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\MechWarrior Online\bin64\MWOClient.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll
Report Id: 0ed7c44b-6c51-11ea-9e6e-005056c00008

Tried using Steam File verify.
Tried uninstalling completely deleting everything including registry, and then re-install

Is there any other work around to make it launch all the way into the game again?

* * * Solved * * *
If you are unable to start the game, Find and Delete
C:\Users\<YourProfileName>\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online\Profiles\<YourProfileName>\actionmaps.xml

it will trick a game check to reset your profile.

Upon further investigation, and many many reproducible bug test,
found out the root cause of the problem is due Borderless Window feature that is broken.
  • Window mode works fine.
  • Fullscreen mode works fine.
If you set Borderless Window, it will make the game crash.

No need, found out the root cause of the problem is due Borderless Window feature that is broken.

It kind of sucks, since Borderless Window was my preferred mode,
Fullscreen mode is annoying as it locks you out from multi-screen multitasking.
Window mode also sucks, as it can't use the full screen size, but it easily lets you multi-task with other stuff on the other monitors.

My screen is 3440x1440, so now I've to use something smaller in a window like 1920x1200 too bad there is no custom size. Ideally if I could set 3440x1400 window mode, that will do the trick for me, and it will not clip the bottom menu bar in-game.

Found a workaround.
Edit attributes.xml and change Window Size by

<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_Height" value="1410"/>
<Attr name="OptionCfg.r_Width" value="3430"/>

Run WindowedBorderlessGaming.exe (App), hit F3 and add MWO client to the list, and now it starts in fake Full Screen Borderless window, without the bottom menu bar clipping off-screen.

Note: you'll need to re-edit attributes.xml everytime after you load the game, as it will reset your screen size. It's kind of annoying, but better than the alternative. easily overcome with a batch file to replace a copy of the attributes.xml with a good copy, before the game starts.

The thing is, many of us are using borderless window. So it is likely something has changed with your system, if tis not the client itself then likely GPU driver/settings, or updates to programs that have overlays.

And even though you may install your own drivers, remember that by default Windows 10 is setup download/install drivers also, which can furbar things. That can be turned off but you do have to jump through a few hoops. And I have had Windows 10 turn it back to default settings after major update 2x, which then I would only discover it when I check Windows update history due to having issues with the game and some drivers were not lining up with the correct version.
