What i mean is... I understand the graphical changes it takes on when you switch between PPCs to other lasers for the arm cannon hard points. But im wondering when we will see graphical changes for the Ballistic hard points on the side torsos? If you have machine guns there... fine, the machine guns are physically shown. But any ACs or Gauss upgrades should be shown as well.

Also on that note (just a pet peeve)... the K2 is shown to have 2 lasers in the center torso nose like other Missile carrying Cats... why? The K2 has 2 energy hard points in the arms and 2 in the side torsos above the machine guns but also shown to have another 2 lasers next to the nose in the center torso. Sure they are not there as far as the hard points are concerned. But graphically they are there and should not be.

Here here. Sick of trying to imagine AC/10 rounds being squeezed out of those dinky little machine gun nubs on my K2.

^_^

I dont think it will ever happen.

The only reason they changed the arms is because dual gauss/AC20 pilots could just look down and away from the target, and use the giant cannons as shields.

Now we can hit their side torsos.

Im not really for or against this idea, I just don't think PGI will focus their efforts on it anytime soon.

Because if the model had AC20's there it would just fall on it's face.

Hm, that is not the reason, ac20, gausspults normaly have 0 arm armour.

Don't all of the catapults show the torso laser mounts? I'm pretty sure my C4 has them even though it's lasers are center mounted.

I really hope they do this sooner rather than later. Same goes with PPCs mounted on models where there should only be small or medium lasers. Or AC20 on a Raven 4X. And since they decided to make the UAC5 a rotary autocannon, I'd like to see the gatling barrels on any mech that replaces ACs with UACs.

It bothers me to no end when people have a Catapult K2 with small lasers in those huge arms, and gauss rifles in the tiny MG mounts.

To be frank, I'm even irritated by the tiny size of the PPC mount on Cicadas and Trebuchets, compared to the huge PPC mounts on K2s and Awesomes. It reminds me of playing Warhammer 40,000 against people who didn't have the right miniatures, so they would go "This Optimus Prime action figure represents a Dreadnought and this stuffed animal is a Vulture gunship."

It's on the list of things to do, but there are a lot of things that are above it on the list of things to do. All the previously announced mechs still need to be modeled after all. After that the art team can start doing that sort of thing.

They still had the arms internals to use as a shield. Not much of a shield (only 20 points) but a shield none the less.

Hm, that is the reason, because they still have internal health, and turn into shields.

I want trying to get anyone to argue over it. I just cant wait to see things like this actually get the proper look for whats supposed to be there hard point wise. I mean look at the Cat A1. It is all missiles but at least the model does shows that the laser mounts are capped/closed off.

it needs big barrels that can easily be shot off.

this is long overdue

no... the C4 only shows the center torso lasers. Where the 2 side mounted laser would be... they are capped/closed off.

All the Cat models except the K2 are physically shown to represent what their hard points are except the K2
