Seriously. I'm sick of spending half of every match I play killing Ravens. This game has gotten really, REALLY boring.

I'm honestly thinking of not playing for a couple of months till this crap stops.

Jagermech Urbanmech in disguise is coming. If it shows up at the same time as some sort of ECM nerf or netcode fix, expect dakka everywhere.

Currently there seem to be about 2-3 Ravens per team every match I play. In case one team somehow forgot to bring some, it usually gets annihilated quickly. I play 50/50 PUGs/premades with TS and my interest in MW:O has dropped from "this_is_AWESOME!!" to "meh, can't be bothered to login anymore".

It won't change until ECM changes.

If they add hard point restrictions, this game would be far more diverse and balanced. They seem to resist this change. Its also why MWO hasn't broken into a larger player base.

Gotta say, they should restrict ECM to mechs using only dumbfire missiles. Take the Streaks away from the Ravens and CMD-2Ds, and suddenly they aren't particularly scary, and any good Jenner pilot will eat either for dinner.

Kinda would be likehow any mech using "advanced" AC munitions in TT could only use them through the level 1 tech Autocannons, not Ultras, Rotarys and such. So simply have it so if you have ecm mounted, the mechbay blocks Streaks and Artemis.

Anyone really feeling scared of a raven packing 2 SRM2 packs?

Ravens are an old flavor of the month, just because it is an old fotm doesn't mean you won't keep seeing it. Splats/AC20 K2s for example.

There is a FOTM for every situation. I would not call it FOTM, it is becoming more of a meta.

This. This would work. Just make up some BS about the ECM affecting your own missile lock systems and wedge it in and pretend its canon. I prefer the "It wasn't like this in TT" whining to "ECM is broken". I say whining because right or wrong, it's still what everyone's doing. I myself am whining about whiners.

Sometimes I do wonder if we all are playing the same game. I see much less ravens than most people make it out to be.

Now if they only dropped like they are meant to when you shoot them I'd be really happy

I tell you a fun story from a couple of hours ago. Getting circle strafed by 3 Ravens all popping streaks all using Adv. Target Decay and 360 Target Retention and basically just running in a circle pulling the trigger. I killed one but had grown so bored I powered down and went to make a coffee. I'd forgot they can't target you when you do that and came back to find 2 sullen lights bitching in chat because they couldn't cap, (I was standing on it,) and they couldn't shoot me.

Lol. How pathetic. If they only knew about headshots. I killed someone last night like that. He powered down. So, I just ran up to him, aimed and alpha into his cockpit.

He made it sound like Streaks were their only weapon. You can't dry fire streaks right? Ergo, they can't do anything to the powered off mech (which is funny as hell if you think about it). Could have tried getting out and kicking it I guess.
