I have game freezes from time to time and noticed that in most cases it happens when I see LRM hitting target.

No error. Game hard locks and requires ctrl-alt-del task kill.

In game.

Various. No descernable pattern.

Crash is random and frequent but appears to be more common using Cataphract 4X. There is usually a sound loop stuck when it crashes, sometimes missiles and sometimes AMS.

All on high except AA is off.

Update:

I tried lowering a couple settings to high (particles and post processing) but that did not seem to have any noticeable affect on the crash. Alpine and Caustic seem to crash more often than other maps but I don't have hard data on that. I will start keeping track of the map from now on. It does not appear to be time related for me. I've crashed as early as the 2nd match of a session and the longest recorded stretch between crashes was 11 games (total 57 minutes of in game time).

I experience crashing to desktop at least once a session since the last patch. In general game stability is poor (frequent matches with rubber banding). State rewind doesn't help much when the server can't even decide where you are when you stand still!

All other maps play mostly fine (occaisional random lockups) but alpine crashes with a memory allocation error on load every time.

EDIT: FIXED - Caused by corruption in the alpinepeaks level.pak. Replacing that file with one sent from a friend's installation fixed the issue.

My only user.cfg entry is i_mouse_smooth = 0

Here is the exact error from omicron:

I had two crashes today in the two games I played.

I run a GForce670, 16GB ram, Intel i5-3570 at 3.4 GHZ, win 7 64bit...and the game is unplayable at the moment.

Just an update. I am still crashing to the desktop at the end of almost every match I play on Alpine, but I have noticed that the few times when I DON'T crash after the match, it has been on Assault mode. I always crash out if it is conquest.

It's good to see that I am not the only one having trouble with CTDs and lock ups. Sometimes I can get lucky when the game locks up and ALT+TAB or CTRL+ALT+DEL to the desktop then back into the game without it crashing completely. Looks like alot of good info has been posted with similar issues I am having. Though for the sake of things system specs are below.

Windows 7 64-bit
Intel 3570K (Stock frequency)
nVidia 660Ti w/ latest driver (as of today)
16GB of 1866MHz RAM
Intel 330 SSD w/ current firmware
Logitech G500 mouse
Logitech G110 keyboard w/ headset plugged into the audio/mic jacks on keyboard

Software running while in game:
Skype or Teamspeak
Microsoft Security Essentials
Logitech Software

Hope this helps and thanks again for making a great game.

I never had a problem with MWO until yesterday, when it started disconnecting mid-match. Screen goes black for a while, then I'm back in Mechlab with my mech locked, and a sitting duck in the match. It happens now about every second match, most annoying. And the premium time is ticking away while the game is rather less than playable. Seriously, never a problem until yesterday. Please get the stability back to the way it was 3 days ago, please!

Still getting the screen freeze bug, it's back with avengance again. Two games today where several of us suffered it at the exact same time.

Need to bring up the task manager and close the application from there.

Game is much less stable since the last patch. Never had a problem with a crashing game before. Now it .just freezes in midgame. No message sent.

Just now it crashed for about 30 seconds and then after cursing a lot suddenly it worked again. I don't get it. It mostly happens during combat.

Was any error message provided with the crash, if so, which? No
Where in the game or menus did the crash occur? During the game, all maps have the chance to crash
What steps had been taken prior to the crash occurring? Crash happens randomly but always after a death or between the end of the game and the statistic game table. The game crash, black screen. PC completly frozen, nothing work (atl+del+canc, alt+f4, alt+tab). Only solution is to plug off the PC.
Does the crash re-occur for you if repeating those same steps? Yes
What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch? 1920 x 1200 (32 bit), No
What are your System specs?
Spoiler

Getting a lot of simultaneous crashes, where me and one or two people in the same game all hard lock at the same time.
