I will not be entering the top gun competition.

I love the idea of a competition but not this type.
the reason I will be refraining is that this is a team game and this type of competition does not promote team tactics or team cooperation or in fact any semblance of team unity in game play in fact it does the exact opposite it promotes free for all style play and it promotes doing ones own thing instead of working as a group. In addition it promotes attempts at circumvention by use of the hated sync drops.
If two people attempt to sync drop this is almost sure to fail but for groups who are thirty plus strong it is a simple matter of gathering in one room syncing the button and then dispersing into the game created groups. This type of competition benefits larger groups of people because if you get enough people in a room you have a much greater chance of sync dropping with allies than a random lonewolf.

so for these two reasons I will not participate. I would also encourage pgi to think of competitions that encourage team vs team action and rewards good teamwork rather than solo play in a system that is so easily circumvented into team play.

I don't know about the sync drops being a problem, but this competition has zero appeal to me.

is it me or do the competitions pgi is making seem to be focussing on single player play?

They're probably data mining again. Trying to get people into their best mechs now that HSR is in to see if there are any issues.

Here is a Link to the Official Developer Posting/Announcement:
http://mwomercs.com/...-to-march-10th/

And... here is a link to the thread that they have requested that Discussion of this Event should be hosted at:
http://mwomercs.com/...lenge-feedback/

The Staff would like everyone to use the Official Feedback and Discussion thread for now, instead of creating numerous threads in the General Discussion, for discussing the event so I will close this thread. Thanks for understanding.
