First off I dont think its just the skins but literally like it says a founder only mech. Which means right off the bat you have something everyone else cant have.
Second, you get lifetime cbill per match bounus. If you have played other games like WoT or LoL this is huge.
You also make money in that you get 80 dollars in-game currancy.
and 2 months of premium.

Theres even more, but this is why I am cashing 60 dollars to these fine lads. The battlemech universe needs to make a come back and im hoping this game will pull more into the IP and the online game.

Btw I am going to go out on a limb on this one and say its going to be a warhammer or other rumored clan mechs.

Because:
  • Want to Support PGI
  • $60 for $80? It's like they're giving me money!
  • Second starting Mech? Yes, please!
  • C-Bill bonus?! YES PLEASE!

Everyone can BUY an Elite Founders Package. Don't be surprised when you see a "lot" of those "no one else has one'" types running around.

I don't expect it to be a second starter mech, you're getting enough freebies already not to need starter mech + founder's mech.

The bonus cash alone is worth it

If it comes with a t-shirt that says, "I survived the Succession Wars, and all I got was this crappy t-shirt.", I'm buying two.

You are correct just like all launches a majority of the people who will start the game with the bonus mech. Im talking about a year from now. You will have something everyone will wish they had.

I do think its a second starter mech, because you are paying more than other people right of the bat, and this is only offered for a limited time. It going to be harder to get than collectors edition. This is like a kickstarter bounus.

This is true, until you get a couple months into the game. Then, the number of those mechs are really going to deminish, because so many new players would have moved in by then.

EDIT - lol, ninja'd

Only applys to that Founder's BattleMech just like in WOT and other premiums tanks.

I was under the assumption that the c-bill bonus would only apply to the founder mech?!

I'll spend the $60 because I love the passion of PGI. Battletech 3025 in beta was one of my favorite gaming experiences, and MWO looks many times superior to it. Dropping $60 to ensure it gets a proper release is completely worth it.

I'll give them some money just to show them that bringing back this series was a smart move. If we don't support giant robot games, then soon we won't have any giant robot games!

Don't know about him ... but i'm not sure either. It makes the most sense, however. It ought to be like the Lowe on WOT, a premium tank that is used mostly to make money so that you can mantain and repair high tier vehicles, which are money sinks.
