Hello.

I have a humble suggestion to help balance SSRMs. Simply reduce their chance to connect with the target when the target is traveling over a certain speed. As the speed increases after that threshold reduce the chances in increments or on a gradient scale. Example: A mech is moving below 90 kph, SSRMs have a 95-100% chance of hitting (because come on, they shouldnt fire out of the commando and go straight backwards through it to hit the target :) ). A mech moving between 90 and 110kph, maybe 75-90%. 110 and 130kph, 65-75%. And my damned cicada zig zagging wildly at 151 kph 40-60% chance. The numbers are just for an example. Opinions? :D

this is already there. first you have to get a lock. which is hard enough. and ssrms do miss obstacles block them and the zig makes em miss ...

Seriously. You have trouble getting ssrms to lock? Also, have you ever tried to evade streaks in an open area??

Although I dislike streaks, I do not think this is the way to go about adjusting them.

Abstained.

I can't comment on this, I would be streaked forever. XD

But I do feel that they could use adjustment, one way or another.

They appear to have been changed in the last patch anyway. Before-hand they had a very tight grouping which if aimed in the front or rear 90° arc seemed to nearly always connect with the centre torso, sides arcs hit arms and side torsos. Also previously I'd never seen an SSRM hit legs, especially against a static target. Since the patch (as can be tested in the testing grounds) SSRM's now have quite a wide spread and will not hit any location on the mech, including legs.
