Teams have to coordinate to manage multipronged strategies, setting up choke points and firing lanes. Scouts are now essential to relay enemy positions.
Which if not corrected to make game play more fun, they will lose most of their player base to the nich minority that wants to sit and plan out missions with a team. They have already lost players to the point elo doesn't have enough to even make most matches balanced.
Game imbalance only really teaches you to adjust to the imbalance rather than find fun in a game that you can drop randomly in when you have some extra time in the day. You are adjusting to ridiculous imbalance not seeing a game that is becoming more fun, The tactics you talk about have always been needed and useful, but the game does not become more fun if you are forced as a solo player to seek out 3rd party means to have any chance in a match.
The imbalance is to the point now that the game is a long range weapon fest is not making it more fun at all. I have always taken cover to avoid lrms, and long range snipers but now there are so many of them, if you take a brawler mech you will stay in cover most of the match and are useless in the majority of matches now.
To say that the game is better because brawling is pretty much obsolete says it all.
