It occurred to me that there were a few underground maps in MW3 that made for an interesting battle scenario. I think some close quarters cave maps could bring some interesting dynamics to battle. Imagine a light scout gets discovered by an Assault one-on-one. Within the environment let's say there are some tight areas in the cave that will allow a light Mech like a Raven to pass, but are too small for something like an Atlas to pass. Take this a step further and add multi-level play within a cave setting with holes and drop-offs blind curves etc. I think it would make for a fun battle environment.

Interesting idea. Could be a fun and unique experience. Just as long as the majority of maps are "normal" outside maps having one or two like this might be a worthwhile addition.

So.....Mechwarrior isn't life? The two are separate entities? O.o

And I would love to see caves and maybe somehow an underwater map possibly? Even though that underwater is not at all possible, its a magical wish.

Thats not a cave, its a steiner living room.
You cant see the couch, the wall tapestries and giant LCD tv because the lights are turned off. :)

Typical Steiner arrogance to park their scout mechs in the living room. It will ruin the carpet.

Yeah, I really like Thunderrift in MW:LL too. It was an interesting environment and it gave smaller 'mechs more of a reason to be on the battlefield.

It's been mentioned by the devs that they intend to have map variety to allow for varied tactics. Even a statement that their main test map has (iirc) an open beach with long sight lines, small lake, rolling hills, and the pictured cave.
