Look, doing damage is better than not doing damage. In a team game, your "inaccurate" shot that hits a leg or arm instead of a torso/head can sometimes be added to by teammates who don't have a direct shot. xhrit is looking at efficiency only, which is missing the forest for the trees.
Everyone needs to learn to take every shot based on the situation. You need to evaluate EVERYTHING, not just your own damage/accuracy. If your teammate can't hit the same section as you, you very well might be taking LONGER to kill or disarm a given mech by going for a specific section.
It is better to hold off on a shot and line it up so that it connects where it matters, then it is to waste heat, cooldowns, and/or ammo putting damage on a component that does not need to be damaged.
If your teammates can't hit the same section as you, your teammates needs to work on his aim.
Just like it is always better for the entire team to focus their fire on a specific target, it is always better for the entire team to focus fire on a specific section of a target.
