Yes. That is exactly what they should do. It is what I do. You can clearly see in the video that I already posted that I personally will not engage any mechs in single combat.
I'm not talking about single combat. Your video situation is irrelevant. Seems like you're not reading what I'm typing.
Imagine you're on river city night in the upper city. An undamaged atlas starts down a street towards you. Your teammate is a block ahead and to the right, twisting left to fire at the atlas. If you keep shooting at the atlas CT/head, you and your teammate are "spreading damage" because he can't hit the enemy's CT/head from his angle. You're saying he should stop shooting and "regroup"? lol?
More like you should both fire at the enemy's RT/RA to disable the mech faster. Sure you could try to get out of the way, and it depends on the atlas config/speed and what else is going on. This just reinforces the "IT DEPENDS" philosophy, and makes your "ALWAYS DO A THING" philosophy look stupid.

Do you know how AI works? It has a big list of things to "ALWAYS DO" based on a list of things "IT DEPENDS" on.
This is a set of instructions that is always rigidly adhered to.
Any sufficiently advanced AI is unbeatable by humans.
AI is based on "ALWAYS DO A THING" philosophy, and is unbeatable by humans.
At a fundamental level any task or process that can be described can be reduced into it's most basic constitute components, indexed, cataloged and evaluated for efficiency.
It is the reason it is said that professional soldiers are predictable. There is always an optimal solution for any given task, and a professional soldier will always chose the most optimal solution.
...
If my teammate is a block ahead and to the right, that means my teammate broke formation and should regroup into line abrest, on my mark.

If our pugs really show their pug-ness, it tends to die like a toothless rat.
If we stare down KAoS, SJG, Paragon, Templars, SnowRavens, Scorps, MidSons, etc, it tends to die like a toothless rat.
If I get on a roll, it does well.
If my buddies carry me, it does well.
It's fun, deludes me into a false sense of security, and I love it.
Best damage was 1310 (with 5 kills) in the Be A Hero Tourney as a lone wolf.
Connor Sinclair was a teammate on that game. I had never conversed with him in any way, shape or form before.
Once the scores were posted, he types in chat, unbidden and unprovoked...
"I can tank better than you. just sayin'..."
No matter what you've done, someone else nearby knows they can do it better.

You sure its not a laser DDC?
No he runs a stalker, with a bunch of PPCs, seen him in game a number of times.
and I average 453 in my D_DC, even thought its relatively rare that I ride it.

It is better to hold off on a shot and line it up so that it connects where it matters, then it is to waste heat, cooldowns, and/or ammo putting damage on a component that does not need to be damaged.
If your teammates can't hit the same section as you, your teammates needs to work on his aim.
Just like it is always better for the entire team to focus their fire on a specific target, it is always better for the entire team to focus fire on a specific section of a target.
it depends on the situation. often, not well aimed suppressive fire does a better job than slow aimed fire. it throws people off if they get attacked.
so i guess, in the end of the day, everything counts. but damage is not a good point to show off your skills, i will state again.

Not my most played, 4p is 103 games, but only because I despise getting stuck on alpine peaks with a slow mech. 440 a match, not great, but seems okay.

AI is irrelevant. You are not an AI, nor will you make the same decision every time in every situation as you described.
That "professional soliders are always predictable" quote is part of a joke...the rest goes "the world is full of dangerous amateurs". You don't get the joke because you divided and conquered the joke instead of understanding both parts of the joke in context.

If your "always do" is based on "it depends", then it's based on "it depends", not "always do".

lol...now you're just trolling. If you're for real, I'd love to hear you command your lance(s) of nerds on voice comms. Do you LARP, too?
