http://www.sarna.net...urian_Concordat

The two will probably meet, and the Taurians are known to employ WMDs in their campaigns. How do you think it will go down?

Quote

While Yvonne has so far chosen to all but ignore the continuing threat from
the Taurian Concordat, we believe she will have to take some action in the near
future. The Concordat’s willingness to use nuclear weaponry indiscriminately has
so far proven to be an effective foil to her centrist, defensive agendas. If she does
not take some decisive actions, soon, it is likely her control over the Capellan
March will erode even further, potentially creating a new splinter state. If this
occurs it would be highly detrimental to overall Sphere stability and could derail
our plans.

When will they ever meet? The Taurian Concordat is right along the Davion/Capellan Border. The exact opposite of were the Clans invaded the IS. he Clans are only tri\ying to get to Terra.

Ooh, an alternate history thread! I like the look of this!

Okay, so let's assume that the clans do a mirror of their invasion corridor, for which Clans would invade the Taurians. If we mirror directly, then Clan Smoke Jaguar would go through the Taurian Concordat. The most nuke happy IS faction outside Word of Blake versus the clan responsible for Turtle Bay.

The Jaguars would begin with their standard Blitzkrieg tactic: chew them up, spit them out, move on. Taurians are notoriously patriotic, meaning the majority of planets would fight tooth and nail to keep their homeworlds. Whereas the Dracs would feel honor bound in some way, the Taurians not so much. The Jags would incur heavy losses, weighing down their campaign there. This would, in turn, likely result in a few Turtle Bay incidents on the Taurian homeworlds.

Now, the Taurians are being given an excuse to use nukes and other WMD in retribution for their losses. In combination with the limited warfare doctrine being ignored by the Sphere at large, and we have a miniature First Succession War on our hands. The Jags, owing to their superior technology, would likely defeat the Concordat, but not before incurring immense losses to their Touman.

Now they face House Davison. Cue impending smack down. The jaguars, unable to make headway (at least major headway), are forced to stay their advance, ending theClan threat on one front until the supply lines and composition improves.
