F) Can I buy each part separately? What if I don't want the screen...thing?

I want to believe that this indicates we can pull tactical data to separate displays. Everyone who has wanted a mech pod at home might have just gotten the tools they need from the developer to make that happen.

We'll see. Like I said, I'm skeptical you could get a 'universal monitor' working that great off of naught more than a USB input coupled with joystick and keyboard setups. Not even Apple can eliminate that many cords.
I foresee it needing an AC power input for the backlighting of the screen, at least. Regarding the screen, if it were a 'universal' screen you could run Windows on it, and I agree being able to export data would be great, but I'm wondering if it won't just be pulling data from a Razer utility akin to the Logitech keyboard screens.

I'm not sure about 'little pay off'. I have a tablet, and it is very, very useful. There are cheap as chips android tabs out there for 80 quid. if i was building a pod, that would be fine by me. as it goes, i have an expensive android tab. It get used and would be used, for far more than just MW:O.
I'm seeing more and more games use tablets as a secondary function, be it ghost recon or the Smart Glass concept MS announced at E3.
As I said, there are already apps out there that operate as a second screen, though most of them admittedly communicate over WiFi which caused issues...but even then, if it was just a radar or damage read out, I don't think that would matter too much if the refresh wasn't instantaneous.
Is needing separate power an issue? Wouldn't bother me.

I use iControl for IL2 simming - iPad app over Wifi... No performance hit on game system. I also use an iPad app called AirDisplay that extends the Win7 desktop.
The technology is ready; The hardware is ready; so, anything is possible. I'm hoping that multiple displays via WiFi are possible. I would settle for "tear away" cockpit monitors that can be displayed on secondary monitors. This would be a boon for simpit builders.

This is the key, and what I personally believe to be what makes or breaks a simpit experience.
