he who plays the most matches

if you are a good pilot eventually you will have 10 'perfect' games and be up on the charts
the better the pilot the less hours it takes
I cant stand to play this game for more than a few hours a week these days so....
maybe next time!
Exactly, which is why I would spend 12+ hours a day in SCEU tourny to land 6th for the final standings, and Kor would play for 4 hours, only 2 of those fending off others and myself in the Heavy category, and yet he'd still win 2 categories daily and at final weekly standings. While working full time. I took a day off in middle of the week and got bitched out by boss for dragging *** on 4 hours sleep a few days and being lazy on the job. Kor works construction. I don't get it.
Dudes legit. His aiming, in particular, and positioning is better than 99.99% of ppl who ever played this game, without question.

I'm going to interpret that as a compliment, even though I know it isn't
For what it's worth, I tend to prioritize having fun (or experimenting with various builds/strategies) over ruthless efficiency.

I must be the Anti-Hero of Mech Warrior Online then. All I did during tournaments was purposely prolong the matches so people would whine about their rank losses

Anyone know if there is truth to this statement?

Yep, he is in my unit (DV8) and he quit because he does not trust PGI to make reasonable balance changes. I wish he didn't because he was the most well known (and probably best) player playing MWO, but he couldn't take it anymore, and moved on to a different game.
It is a huge loss, and a huge failing for the devs. The fact that they haven't been reaching out to the competitive community to help them balance has shown in their extremely poor feel for balance. With just a little help from us (and we would do it for free of course), PGI would have a great idea of what is too good and what isn't good enough from the players who can actually aim, work together as a team, position themselves, etc. Balancing for the loudest posters on the forums (who are probably bad) will never work.

The devs are suffering from the Dunning-Kruger Effect. They don't even realize how bad the balance is because the ones making the decisions simply aren't good at the actual gameplay. MW:LL suffered horribly from this as well. I was an alpha tester on the MWLL dev team and got to see how it hurt the game first-hand. It's incredibly painful to see it happening again.
Meanwhile games that are serious about having a competitive scene are reaching out to their best players in order to avoid debacles like what PGI has been doing to LRMs recently.

But can PGI smart up and do the same is the question. If they took in talent from some of the most experienced developers of MW:LL, especially the balance designers, the balancing act in MWO wouldn't be taking this long.

I think politics comes into play. First you have to get someone to admit that they don't know how to do their job and that they need help. I'm sure whoever is in charge of balance has a thousand excuses and a believable narrative as to why the balance is in such poor shape now. Here's hoping they can put their pride aside for the sake of the game though.

So are you saying that you're in favor of faster, easier to control mechs? Because, at least to me, that sounds more in the direction of arcade, rather than simulation. What's your stance on third-person view?

Here's a 1v4 win in a Jenner I found by searching youtube for "Koreanese Jenner." It's from the perspective of a teammate piloting an Atlas, so skip to 8:00 to see it from the Jenner's perspective after the Atlas pilot goes down.
