Rasalhague will salvage and utilize any and all technologies which will allow it to defend its citizens more efficiently.

(There is no way mwo won't come clantech online  wonder why they even bothered with tech1 IS stuff, I could be wrong and they could figure out a mechanism to circumvent it... but I doubt it, if nothing else community ragequit threats will make them back out)

It will be hard to wash out the taste of disgusting filth that is the clan tech, used to slaughter my kinsmen.

i Will stop playing the game if Clan Tech wont get balanced with downsides, the only reason it was made superior in TT was to boost the sales of the clan stuff since power sells so nice.

Given that everybody is already running around with max armour, and with the insane alpha builds we have all been seeing.

They'll just be faster and an extra liability engine onboard.

Mabe get one or two shots before odds are even at short range. Jump snipers will be in heaven with a Thor/Summoner.

Meh, they can only have so much armour onboard.

As a mercenary, I would appreciate high tech Clan weaponry. It would make much easier for me to let the dough roll in Garrison Duty and Planetary Assaults. Whatever buys me my beach house in Thomasville and gets me a well-deserved retirement, still 15 years away...

Honestly, besides depending on the state of the game at that point, it all depends on how they're implemented. I hope that for the first week or so they're not useable by anyone but maybe invading dev teams or something like that. After that it all depends on who can use them, assuming they have some sort of initial restriction in place.

If I can afford the MC I'll play one... but spending the gazillion it's going to cost to get them all is not likely.

You may have noticed I expect this all to go Cash for Clans.

Actually I would say you are wrong there, they still had downsides to combat against IS mechs just like in the lore - if you fought even weight battles you were doing it wrong :) - but nothing like introducing a major adversary to boost interest/sales across the board, the game was stagnate at the time.

I would like to say I wouldn't use clan mechs but I think that would just be gimping yourself - though it really depends on how they are implemented anyway. Plus I'm just a dirty merc...

If it was done right and an IS team could have a chance against a Clan force, then yah IS all the way fighting the good fight against a technologically superior force. But looking at whats come from PGI so far, probably be forced to go Clan or get Clan tech so my mech isn't just a 20 to 100 ton paperweight. Really sucks too, I got into BT way before the Clan storyline and love all the IS 3025 designs. The Succession Wars period was kinda like post apocalyptic rockem sockem robot gone interstellar. Then you get the Clans and its Mad Cat this and Mad Cat that and wheres the Clan ER lg. laser at. Sigh, kids these days.

I think the Madcat has a sexy design, but I'm one of the people that dislike playing it. It has the same problem as the Catapults. The damn huge cockpit! Too easy to headshot.

Also, at least in the other games(MW4 speaks to mind) the Daishi also has a huge CT making it easier to take down too. I'd prefer playing Lokis, Thors, and Kodiaks instead(we won't get Stone Rhino unfortunately, at least not now).

It really depends on how CommunityWarfare is implemented... if there is an opportunity to fill the rank and file of the IS to defend against raiders claiming some ancient birthright then I'll gladly play the IS side.

Also mostly because I know a lot of people will gravitate to the dirty Clammer side so you're gonna need someone on that wall.

Clan Tech? I'm still running 3025 'Tech. It's been more fun limiting myself to single heat sinks, no XL, etc and it teaches you to have to play differently and really understand how to use the weapons effectively.

I have to say... I tend to like more of the clan mech designs more than most IS mechs for their looks alone. I don't care about clan or omni tech, though in some load outs I find it useful. I dislike clan cultures when compared to IS cultures, though. I'll likely join a house and have some select "salvaged" clan mechs in my hangar.

I can't say for certain I won't use omnimechs, but I have fallen in love with my Cataphract 1X and can't just abandon it. I most certainly will give it Clan weapons and engine, but it will still get use.

Depends entirely on how community warfare is implemented.

No. As much as I love the madcat (timberwolf) just no. I love the prethra of tech the I.S. Has over clans. Sure clan has more "advance" weapons, but the I.S. just has way more toys to put on your mech. Plus if there ever do meleei hang a mech that can do it. And clan mech and not. So when the Thor come out there better be the axman for me.

Nova, Stormcrow, Summoner, are a must for me! A tribute to the old days of MW2.

Hitboxes could be a good balance tool for Clan mechs... when you look at the 'classic' designs you see quite a good deal of potential headshots. Kind of fits with hoity toity Clanner attitude too...

I'd love it if headshotting a clan mech gave you the option to buy one as salvage; but the exploit potential of that is huge.

I will not start to pilot "Walking Weapon Frames".
