Capping is fine,

What needs to be nerfed is the Int-debuff that got applied to all non-lights at the beginning of Open beta taking their focus away from winning to simply brawling for no reason. This same debuff is what has caused mediums to dwindle in population, because they cannot "blob" properly yet continue to refuse to accept it.

I support this thread 100%

Except one results in a significantly less enjoyable experience for the rest of the people in the game. I'm all for capping when the chips are down, but bypassing the other team to cap without even firing a shot is not worth queuing up. We aren't fighting over territory right now, so playing solely to win doesn't make any sense.

Which rest of the people? The losing team? The grinders?

Bypassing the enemy for a quick cap. You realize If I, in my Atlas can avoid you and Cap... You are no going to be far from your base. Know that I take a normal path to engage you. If you are not there, I will head for our base. I am also following my team as I cannot lead in an Atlas obviously. So again, if you want a fight and I am on your CAP unopposed, you on't want to fight enough!

Also, training and practice are reasons to perform all the victory conditions. Why wait till the game is live to get your sheet together?

Way more than okay with it. I think base capping is a necessity in the games design. Without it, the game would devolve to nothing but assault class blobs with little or no strategic consideration to positioning or movement speed.

This is a warfare game, not just a combat game. Death need not be the only option. Warfare is often about objectives and meeting them. A good warrior does that with as little resource loss a possible.

Long story short, I am fine with it.

Timer scaling would be nice.

When there is proper balance in the game, I think that the base cap mechanic will be necessary for lights to be competitive. I like the fact that it is there, and I think that is a good idea.
