im getting this issue as well now. not had a game related problem in ages and suddenly after this patch...boom. it was ok a few days ago....
i also posted this issue here http://mwomercs.com/...uest-timed-out/ because when i did a search for network request has timed out this thread didn't come up.
ive tried re-installing, disabling firewall/av, the usual stuff etc...nothing helps at all.

Nic

Yeah, when I try to log in I get "A network error has occurred." This has never happened before... sad... I hope it works by the time phoenix is released...

Update: Reset router and it worked ;) but now I have a framerate issue!!!! WOOOOOO!

Been getting the "Network error occurred" for about a week now when tried to load game. Before that I get booted from games with a "session lost" message. Anyone know why?

The normal 10am PST patch, this is why you dropped today.

I have had this problem, and after messing around with firewall and patcher to no avail, turns out resetting my router fixed the problem.

Is there really no other way than to reset your router.....

I really just hope this gets fixed soon. (Hint Hint devs.)

I'm have the same problem too, everytime I try to log on I get A Network Error Has Occured. Even when I keep installing and uninstalling the Installer for MWO.

Ok I just got my game working and the problem was the router. Default settings blocked peer-to-peer programs. MWO is recognized by either firewalls and routers as a p2p. Unblock p2p and the game works

I just had this problem, which was corrected by shutting down and restarting my modem/router.

I have always had a "network connection timed out" since I upgraded my video card so all my specs exceed the recommended. Not an issue of firewall as all MWO clients etc on "Allow" setting rather than auto. Suspecting its a carrier issue. XO Communications in Los Angeles, CA, USA. Times out on 3rd hop of tracert and about 25 of 30 hops.

And it's back again. No other games or internet services affected. *sigh*.

Am I right in thinking you're with Plusnet as well? If so try this... might be worth while in the long run.

http://www.plus.net/...ignatures.shtml

These are the details of the message:

Name of the game: MechWarrior Online

The ports used by the game: TCP 45461
TCP 45464
UDP 21000 to 30000

The IP address of a central sever that is used by the game: 70.42.29.74 and 70.42.29.75

Yeah, saw that in the other thread - didn't realise there were two!

Bit rubbish that we need to go to those lengths if you ask me, but there you go. In a couple of months I'll be moving house and on a Virgin fibre connection anyway, so hopefully these sorts of problems will be a thing of the past - although I've heard Virgin have their own breed of routing problems.

been getting this error within the last week and now today I can't get past the login screen at all was working just fine then crashed to desktop now I can't get back on. Gonna try repair tool since no idea what else to do. If that doesn't work then I guess I'll play something else and hope next patch fixes it. Why does this game still feel like playing a beta... always waiting for next patch.

Greetings all,

Just as a note here, and may be related:

There was a resent update from Microsoft that "reset" the configuration of most users "Network Adapter"

Find it in your Device Manager\Network adapters\"whatever yours is called"\Properties

Locate the tab "Power Management", and uncheck the box "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
- which will also turn off "Allow this device to wake the computer"

There may be an issue with this item being able to temp power off the network adapter as your computers power ramps up. It should not effect your modem but the network adapter is normally built into your mother board.

Again MS at it's best.... NOT!

Just a suggestion,
9erRed
