That's right, folks, anyone who pilots something more than 70 tons is a sissy.
Actually, if game balance works well, I'm hoping people will hate Assault 'Mechs because they'll get shot in the weak rear armor too easily.

I hardly ever pilot an assault. I'll bet that you'll see plenty of vets willing to run lights and mediums.

While there was a brief moment in time where I too used Assaults, I was quick to become a Medium 'mech specialist. The capacity to choose when I want to engage is indispensable, and Mediums monopolize the perfect blend between having that capacity and still being able to fight toe-to-toe against fatties.

As I wrote in another topic I hope that speed and sensoric or secondary equipment gains importance compared to what we are used to. Just give them a reason to exist by balancing things out... if pop tarting is not an option anymore people will have to consider other options.

Most likely a medium. Unless the command equipment requires a larger chassis.

i seem to be fond of 65 ton mechs... i'm a Thunderbolt jock. i am also partial to 55ers like the Griffin and Gladiator.
that'd be a cool mech to see in the game, eh?

Give me a Raven with full tech or a Bushwhacker set to harass and I'll make you regret choosing an assault.

I do love piloting a Madcat alot, but the next best mech i use is the Hellhound. It's a deadly unit when loaded up with two light PPC's and a LBX10, even more so with jump jets and of course is fast too.

Scout pilot myself. I'm fond of fire support, though, and if a unit will let me I can try to take both roles at once.

I played Shadowcat all the time in MW4, and I'd love to do it in this game too.
