Jumpjet "shake" Just Broke Half The Combat In This Game For Me.

instead of calling the people who bagged for a solution "crying minority", you should instead say thanks to the masses of poptarts who abused the JJ´s and made the game a bunnyhopping nonsense both in 8 man and randoms... btw, i heard of some good players who still can shoot while jumping... so it´s just not a n00b gamestyle anymore, which is good...

and yes, it was n00b sytle in most cases... i realized very often, that poptarters needed a standing target/ other poptart on the enemy side tohit anything... if you forced them to move, or moved yourself, or both, they didn´t hit sh***

i didn´t have much problems with the single individual... the pure ammount of jumpsnipers was annoying... i say hello to the jumpshake

I totally agree with this. Jumpsniping never felt like steering a huge mass of a robot. The meta game was broken, because it was a too easy playstyle.

With heat penalty in the pipeline, the second inbalanced playstyle of boating will be gone as well. Hopefully!

After the balancing procedure there will be a much wider variety of mechs and loadouts that I'll appreciate.

Therefore more tactics in battle following!

JJ shake is nothing more then a stealth RNG slipped into the game.
All that bouncing around forms a cone and is the random location your shots will hit.
And its a huge COF.... just hidden by all that shaking. now PGI has to contend with people complaining about
motion sickness... just role back the JJ nerf and implement a real Skill based movement/ heat modified COF.
PGI used the COF to solve one issue and created another one in its place.

nah sorry...cone of fire would not suit the game very well... what we need is a working convergence system, influenced by movement, heat and what not.

the shake is not being programmed very elegant, but it´s still not a "stealth COF", even if you wanna see it like one (to each their own). It´s just a rushed "simulation" of gravity working against the jumpjets of a 90 tons Battlemech... it needs serious rework though, because it feels a bit cheap as it is now

To the OP.... sorry bro but JJ+sniping broke the game 100% for the rest of us. This way you still get half.
