It is rare that I actually approve of a change to MWO from PGI, but Jump Jet Shake is seriously the best idea they have had in a very long time.

What is this feeling? Joy? About Mechwarrior Online? What is my life coming to?

I like 6PPC stalkers. They're dead meat to my 4-5 LL stalker.

Seriously, I don't get why some people are so fixated on this inefficient, vulnerable, mistake-unfriendly loadout. Any properly fit assault mech is more dangerous than that.

funny that u mention that... i brawl effectivly, hunt lights with ssrm's and got cored by LRM's a couple of times...

NOT EVERYTHING THAT DOESNT DO AT LEAST 700DMG PER ROUND OR INSTAKILL EVERYTHING WHILE LEAVING U UNSCRATCHED IS BROKEN

but i gotta agree that srm and LBX needs a serious buff.
and the boating a nerf... but well... i hope its next on PGI's todo list.

jumpers keep QQing i love it, shake it's the best fix pgi can do i glad they did it now, MECH4 meta waz bad i dont care what anyone says it killed mech4 it will kill MW:O fixing it waz needed

Whatever the response I give later you must acknowledge that concessions were needed against the jump snipers, they were just ridiculous. Now they can fine tune it. Feedback is good, rage is not.

ok sorry for the double post, but i just had a chance to test out the "new" JJs myself in the training grounds. the shake is significant but here is the thing. it only shakes for as long as you press the JJ-button (in my case SPACE). so if i want to be as accurate as pre-patch, i simply stop pushing it. this way i can still hit things far away. still the new mechanic requires me to jump higher than before to land accuarte shots. i guess we'll see if the forums get on fire about the subject ;)

I can aim Lasers perfectly while JJing in my Cat, they dont shake.

So a lot of people are upset over the jump jet nerf. It seems to me that the problem was in allowing jump jets to be used to accurately fire at long ranges to begin with. Had they had this mechanic from the beginning the only people upset would be the old MW4 crowd whose only skill was JJ sniping.

Yeah, I have been playing around with my 3D a little bit and if all you do is the scenario you defined...to escape a face-hugging assault and shot him back...im not sure how badly your effected by this patch. Sure its harder to aim while jumping but assaults up close are f'n huge.

Okay here's some constructive criticism. The way it works is pretty good. Crosshair shake is pretty good where it is. But while it doesn't affect me too badly I can see why the screen shake could cause extreme discomfort for some people. PGI should not necessarily tone it down much but just make it less jarring.

I would say the heat management is broken as ****, but essentially.

I approve of the shake, lots of shake, I do NOT approve of the random shooting direction when firing while JJ'ing, that just nerfs actual skill and makes brawling so much harder.

the problem was never jump jets. it convergence and heazt. JJs cause heat and weapons cause heat. and static jumps are supposed tocause more heat.

The whole base system including the weapons and mech design is wrapped around the concept of Broadsides and only limited precision

so just ran around a bit in my jenner. 4 jump jets, hopping around, flying over targets. 451 damage, the shake hasn't stunted my gameplay any.
