This being said. A Clan mech will likely have one frame, and have C-bill only configurations necessary for mastering said chassis.
If this is indeed the case. I am hoping for a clan founders package.

I'm guessing something along the lines of what your saying. You buy the primary configuration initially for a sky high cbill price, then buy the hard point configurations (A,B,C, etc...) separately for a much lower individual price.

Do not confuse Clan mechs with omnimechs.

Making MC to buy clan mechs (one time purchase thingy) makes sense..but having MC only for clan mechs and equipment will result is death of this game.
not everyone can afford to spend money on constant basis

I'm not, but I think the chance of us seeing non Omni clan mechs anytime soon is realllllly low. I'm guessing omnis and mix tech before we start seeing the non omni clan stuff (as cool as most of them are) especially since a lot of them lack variants (if my memory serves me correctly)

Much more likely that they'd have Clan Founder/Hero mechs like under the current system. MC Only clan mechs would just be pay2win, I don't think they could really argue it wouldn't be.. nor do I think they would be naive enough to try and defend implementing it as such.

Vasces' memory is indeed correct, in that (as noted here) many of the non-OmniTech Clan 'Mechs do not meet the three-variant minimum that MWO's XP system requires (and most of the few that do meet that requirement are either Unseen or do not have a third variant available for several (in-universe) years).

With regard to the Clan economy, I would be unsurprised if the mechanics are identical to what we have now for the IS, with "work credits" or "Kerenskies" (both of which the Clans use as capital/collateral/etc; see pgs. 66-67 of Warriors of Kerensky) taking the place of c-bills, and MC working in the same manner as it does now (as a "pay-for-convenience/time" mechanism).

The screams of P2W would be so loud and endless the community would implode. Will never happen.
If it does, I`ll be the first one to leave, not because I can`t afford it and don`t want it, but becasue I don`t play P2W games. I invest money of my own free will, not because I have to to stay competitive.

One method of doing so is to have each config have a different distribution of Omni-type hardpoints.
For example:
- OmniMech1 Prime could have a 2/3/2/3/2 (RA/RT/CT/LT/LA) arrangement.
- OmniMech1 A could have a 1/4/1/5/1 arrangement.
- OmniMech1 B could have a 5/2/1/1/3 arrangement.
- OmniMech1 Hero could have a 3/2/2/2/3 arrangement.
The purchase/unlock scheme could work in much the same way as it does for the IS side (substituting whatever F2P currency the Clans are assigned, of course).
Thoughts?

Non-Omni's would be sold as separate 'mechs, like in the current, and be as customizable as current 'mechs. Cost of the base 'mech would be a minimum of triple an IS 'mech of equal config and cost Faction/Reputation Points, which to my understanding, are earn-able by Lone Wolves as well (I'd almost say that LW's and certain factions would get a FP/RP discount, but not a C-Bill discount, due to difficulty to earn and home production reasons).
Omni's would be locked in place, with the option to change out variants being located under the 'Upgrades' tab. Omni's have the base loadout, the 'Pre-Prime' config, locked, it will be unchanging through the variants. Each variant has to be purchased separately, like the swap between FF and standard armor. Omni's, obviously, would not have the FF, DHS, ES, or Artemis upgrades under this tab. Once a variant has been purchased as an upgrade, it would then have a 'labor' cost to remount it at a later time, and the associated equipment would not be available to mount on another 'mech, unless it is the same omni. These would again, be for sale for a combination of C-Bill and Faction/Reputation Points. They wouldn't be available to IS players unless their faction had control of a planet that housed a mechworks and belonged at some point to an invading Clan. Hand-wave the fact that no self-respecting clan would allow an IS mechworks to produce their weapons during the invasion and that there's not way it could be set up to do so in so short a time. It would give Clan's incentive to maintain control of their planets so as to keep their equipment edge and give more value to planets w/ mechworks later on that would now be producing rare Clan Omni's, an edge the IS players may want.
Obviously, I highly doubt anything near this would come about, but I do hope that Clan 'mechs cost lots of C-Bills and Faction/Reputation Points and that being able to use Clan-tech on IS 'mechs works like the DHS upgrade (no mixing IS/Clan tech), but many many times more expensive, similar to how the DHS costs almost as much as a Commando. I'd peg it at being closer to the Clan-tech upgrade costing about a Heavy 'mech in cost.

In all seriousness... they'd better have the cauldron born. That would be the mech I'd play. Its production started in 3049, and so it fits within the MWO timeline, seeing as we're already in 3051.
18 million C-bills for the basic variant is pretty costly, though.

The rest will go standard MC&C-Bill (or Kerensky?) route.
Until R'n'R makes it back all C-Bill costs are irrelevant. I play only a few h per week and still have managed to accumulate nearly 30 million C-Bills, I can only imagine how much do the diehards have in their accounts by now.
