Post your Mech builds that you find the most fun to play, if many people say the same build or say in there post they enjoyed someones build. I will put a copy of it in this first post.

Only builds that are at least decent please, you may like piloting a 9 flamer Hunchback but your team doesn't like you piloting it. (don't have to be competitive just decent)

Try to limit yourself to 1 build per weight class.

Smurphy links are great, otherwise give the important info like so:

Cicada 3M
2 ERLL
XL 325
1 DHS, or TAG
ECM
Endosteel, and Ferrofibrous, Double heatsinks

Also please give a description of your fun way to play it. for example:

Run around behind enemy lines (700-1000m), keep your distance and snipe away at enemy trying to get them to chase you, never let anything get near you, and never stop moving. Ideally you will be going solo vs 2-3 heavy or assault mechs that can't quite hit you. Or if they ignore you just core them. Use tag if you like spotting.

*****WARNING FUN BUILDS BELOW THIS LINE*************

YEL-LOW-WANG!(he he asian joke) - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...72028b6145fa559 - My Wang build of choice, extremely potent and fast. I can deliver the power of a medium at the speed of a light. I can cap points or escort anything on the field. When i feel the need i can brawl. Though it has an xl300 it can brawl because of the centurion oil flowing through its pipes. I many times run into the middle of their team to get them turned around(a lights job) then my team stomps them. Example of the outcome when this works well- Posted Image

SMACK-A-*****! - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...5011db43043308f - My Centurion-9AL build of choice. I assume it is a standard loadout but damn do i love it. I have posted some pics on the forums of my 800+ damage games in this thing. It can take a crazy beating and even when it loses half of its body still has a bite. I can't really keep up with lights but hey i can sure outrun anything i can't kill (which is nothing 1v1). I have more times than not ended games with 3 kills. Though it doesn't show on the damage side because i a lot of times backshoot and two-three shot people before they notice me. If i don't i just focus on an xl torso or just smash through the CT armor. Even with the srms nerf(which they didn't need) it can hold its own against one of any mech and often times even two. Posted Image (BTW in the pic i just got the game winning kill on an atlas)

Builds can be very subjective for fun, but getting elite tree filled out (and the 2xbasic that comes with that) goes a long way towards making any mech fun to play. I Got my BJ-1 fully elited up and going back to fill up my BJ-1X and BJ-1DC has felt grueling in retrospect, cant wait to finish with that crap then I can go work on the XP for mastering my BJ-1. (just need to grind up the XP for the 1DC's elite tree then im done.)

OK decided to do mine in a different post (though I did use one for the examples)

Medium: CDA-3M 2xERLL

Run around behind enemy lines (700-1000m), keep your distance and snipe away at enemy trying to get them to chase you, never let anything get near you, and never stop moving. Ideally you will be going solo vs 2-3 heavy or assault mechs that can't quite hit you. Or if they ignore you just core them. Use tag if you like spotting.

Heavy: JM6-A 2xUAC/5, 2xML, 4xLRM5
This is sort of a beast (only sort of), you just keep rushing around, keeping cover as you can, firing missiles at any target that looks promising, and unloading UAC bursts into everything you see. Good mech for practicing torso twisting too, fire missiles at one enemy, twist to direct fire another, then back for another volley before you lose lock, all while running around. This really doesn't come into its own without target decay, and your elite mech bonuses, but fun even before then.

I've found the elite Jenner's to be good fun, well in particular the Jenner D with the 4meds and 2streaks and the F with 6 medium. With the elite efficiency's, it is amazing how aggressive and ballsy you can be, and I like to play them as mech killers being able to hit any critical points or just rear them, and then run off and come back once they are preoccupied. It is amazing how much damage the Jenner can do when you play in this style rather than get into the annoying light v light fights.

Awesome 8Q with a SD300 and 3xLLas, 3xMLas, and a MPLas. Especially with speed tweak.

I enjoy my AWS-8Q with the standard 275, 3 ER PPCs, a head-mounted medium pulse laser, BAP, and 21 DHS. This 'mech is almost like peek-a-booming with twin gauss, except 30 damage out to 800m.

I also like my AS7-K. I know many people think it's the inferior Atlas, but I have ruined so many other 'mechs with it. The dual AMS does help against missile boats, and it can easily damage targets at all ranges. And yes, I did remove the 300 XL, despite the additional firepower the LRM-20 gave me (I miss that launcher, it's helped soften stuff up a lot).

AWS-8Q with 300 XL and 6xLPLAS. It's bizarre... but strangely enough it's quite usable :-D Love it when an atlas turns tail and runs after a 60 dmg alpha.

I almost always have a hell of a good time piloting my Misery:

STD 300 Engine
DHS
4 Flamers in the arms (2 in each)
Large Pulse Laser in CT
AC20 in RT

This beast is so much fun in close quarters. Getting into point-blank range is another matter, though...

Why do you feel the elite efficiencies enhance your aggressiveness? The only good one, IMO, is extra speed. The rest, well, seem irrelevant.

I know this isn't specific, but... Anything with a good torso twist, a non-oversized center torso, and a standard engine. I love it when almost every match I lose a side torso to my blackjack or cataphract, yet keep going.

I mostly run Stalkers, but when I need a break from the deathblimps, I run this:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...f548f228f82c94a

Fully upgraded Cicada 2A with six Medium Lasers. I run the Medium Lasers in two groups of three, LT/CT/RT, and it runs cool enough you have to really work to overheat.

There is nothing more satisfying than running down a Jenner and just blowing it away because it can't get away from you. Even more fun is getting right into the enemy's face long before they expect you.

With speed tweak, this thing moves at 150kph and on smaller maps can sometimes arrive at the enemy base before they've even had a chance to fully leave. Then they're pinned down trying to shoot this rapidly-moving Cicada right in the middle of them. It can usually outrun LRMs or get behind cover before they hit.

Then I run away, wait for my team to engage, and have the speed to go pick people apart where needed (or cap if the team's getting steamrolled). Even when I die, this is the most satisfying and fun experience I've had in this game.

When my Cicada dies, hey: it's a Cicada - it's not supposed to take a lot of hits. But when my Misery gets one- or two-shotted , or blasted into the ground with LRMs, it's WORLDS more frustrating. Because it's so hard to hit, the 2A survives a lot longer and can even deal out a lot of damage over the length of a match.

I am really enjoying running my Spider 5D with ECM, the biggest XL engine and 3 mplas.

I must say my TBT 7M can be a lot of fun, if things go right. I run a 300XL, 2 ASRM6, 1 ASRM2, 3 ML, and 5 JJs. If you get up on the back of an assault and surprise it, using the jets and cover, you can pretty much stay in its rear arc and tear it to pieces. My favorite is flying over the top of the assault as they turn around to face you, turning in mid-air, and landing an alpha in this back as you drop behind them.

When you unlock all 4 elite skills, the 8 basic skills effectiveness is doubled.
