Setup Failed

0x800b0101 - A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.

Help.

Am running Win7 64 Home.

UPDATE:
Seems like a lot of newbies are experiencing the same problem.

I checked my Windows date & time and BIOS date & time. They are in-sync. I have run Microsoft Fixit but found nothing wrong.

I guess it is out of our hands.

Ah well, too bad. Hope future updates of the installer would be better.

Well, that worked.

I installed these, along with other Microsoft "Recommended downloads" that had something to do with .NET and C++ stuff:
DirectX http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35
Visual C++ http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555
.NET http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=22

(nods)  The patcher is installing the prerequisites, including C++, but there is some sort of failure during the installation process, so right now people are having to manually install it.  No ETA on when it will be fixed but they are aware of it and working on it.

For some, they were installing the 64 bit instead of the 86 bit C++. Change your system clock to June 6th for the initial patching, related to end of certificate timing out.

Are you installing it in a different location with a different directory name?
Have you set Admin permissions with it? Logging into an Admin account does not automatically grant such permissions.
Have you set the system time back to June 6th?

Sorry, change date to May 6th (that is what I get for transposing numbers). I had to reread some other posts from the beginning of the month.

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=5555

You HAVE to get the x86 version, the installer doesnt like the x64 version

Change your system clock to May 6th for the initial patching, this is how the worked around the problems in this thread.

PGI Please fix this. this is a bit ridiculous.
