OK, after struggling with the repair tool for 3 days to get the files fixed, I finally got the game to the point where the patcher will come up to the "Play" button at will...and the game won't launch.

This is on a computer at work, so upgrading the hardware or changing the OS isn't an option.

Now this runs quite a few games just fine, but in this case it's not even trying to run the game...the patcher simply doesn't launch anything, pressing "Play" is just minimizing the patcher.

Any ideas? (Besides "Give it up, dude, WinXP just ain't gonna work anyway"?)

Don't suppose you could link to the procedure to do so? I haven't even figured out how to communicate with other players yet outside of actual battles...

You should not be wasting company resources on things they don't pay you to do. I would fire you.

The game will not play on that system. The video card itself is so far belong minimum video card requirements...if by a wild hair MWO would load after the launchpad you would be looking at a bare max 5FPS, if that, never mind the possible damage to equipment from heat and such.

Or to put it another way, the video card itself is at least 4 years old and on the low end of thing then, and that CPU was introduced in 2006.

Because swapping over and hitting "Run" every 20 minutes for a grand total of about 20 seconds wastes oh-so-much time.

I'm installing it to play during my lunch break, butt-munch. Mind yer own business.

(Pardon my pseudo french, but I have no patience for troll posts.)
