What a dev named his mech in a video... this is just an indication of how little respect they have to people who use their forums.

Granted some ppl on here are extremely annoying, but I dont think we should be all looked upon with such disdain.. There are alot of calm, mature and intelligent people here with real concerns and valueable feedback who dont deserve that, just because they use the forum and make posts.

I'm pretty sure it was intended as a joke.

I understand the confusion because sometimes when I'm joking people misunderstand and get their feelings hurt.

Well most people in the Beta would be from the forums (or have acces to it anyway) so it kinda makes sense

It's a joke, man. The devs have a good relationship with the people on the forums, at least those that have been around a while, and they play around with us every so often. Just have a good time with it and look on it as the joke it is.

... can't take a joke? It's not that big a deal, and let me tell you, with all the communities I've moderated, there's ALWAYS a sense of frustration with a small segment of a userbase.

How do we know that this wasn't the Mech of a Forums Moderator who named his Mech "ForumsKiller" to indicate that he is from the forums and he is a killer?

lol, it's just some comic relief, my favorite part of this was, "some people are stupid, but don't group us all together" (that's paraphrased, of course)....nobody is trying to insult anyone with that type of thing, if so it'd be called TERALITHAISDUMB or something like that, then you'd know for sure =P

I understand joking, but there are other subtle comments spread out here and there in other dev posts/comments and videos that make me think its not a joke.... that they truly despise us.

The thing is, that Dev was Paul, he is the kind of funny one, so the fact that he called his Hunchback the "Forumuserkiller" isn't a big surprise, it is simply a funny joke.

Generally forums are a pretty dumb place. That said though the forums I have encountered here seem to have more people engaging in discussion and less people bashing and trolling. It will change once everybody gets into game(I hope not) and peoples egos get hurt on the field of battle.

Yes.

I used to be apart of TribalWar long, long ago. The Dynamix/Sierra community manager had a meltdown on those forums.

Looking back, it was kind of funny.
