I travel considerably for work. I've tried to play MWO on my laptop but it really isn't worth the bother. The screen is tiny and it is laggy in the supreme. I'm about to get a new laptop. I am looking for suggestions.

The play experience is significantly different if you compare a laptop to a desktop. If you've played on both and have played with a highly satisfactory experience I'd love to know about the laptop you were using. Money isn't an object. And most of the hotels I'm staying in have tvs that support a computer connection. So I'm a long cable and a good laptop recommendation away from playing on the road.

Any suggestions?

I Am not the foremost expert on laptops but this article couldn't be steering you that far away from goodness could it............http://www.pcmag.com...,2020688,00.asp hopefully someone with extensive insight into mobile GPUs could go from here......... :P **edit** noticing the 680M(ish) series Mobile GPUs maybe something with 7**ish as above poster has mentioned. those rigs aren't as flashy but function over form isn't always a bad thing.

www.falcon-nw.com - Amazing top quality gaming laptops and desktops. I bought one from em a few years ago and am writing this message on it. (still able to run MWO)
www.alienware.com - Many people knock alienware but dell still puts out some powerful gaming laptops.
www.razerzone.com/store - look for the razer blade. That thing is a beast and is under 2" thick. It outpowers my laptop and will run MWO well. It also has a very large touchpad and keyboard. I believe the screen res is 1600x900 and i know the screen is matte so it is very good for gaming with a light beside you. (no glare yay)
Hope this helps.

EDIT: They now have a razer blade pro if money really is no issue. (lowest model it 2500.00 USD)

My alienware is 3 days old £1500 18 inch monitor 1900,1080 gtx 680m 2GB 16 GB ram i7 @2.7 overclocked @3.7

Can play mechwarrior at full graphics settings at 70 fps without V sync. With V sync its at 60

I did a month of researching before buying and i honestly could not find any thing that came close for the money. I did get it on clearence though and it would normally cost £2500.
I think the clearence sale lasted like 3 days ;)

Before the clearence sale i was tempted in getting a fangbook

The one hundred (HX7-100) can be upgraded better than the 200 hundred at less price. I dont know why ...

When money isn't a concern the only question you need to ask is how much weight are you willing to carry around and then buy the most powerful laptop that meets that requirement.
