As in "night". I know it's darkest night in Canada, but it is bright day in the middle of Europe.

And each day it's the same: Forums are (very, very, very) slow in the morning, get better over noon, are good in the afternoon and evening. Middle European Timezone.

Now I wonder: Did someone at PGI come up with the bright idea to go into power-saving-mode over the night? Ignoring, that at least as many players come from Europe?

Gosh I hope not.

10:25 MEZ. The forum is slow to a crawl. 2 to 3 Minutes to load a topic.

Hello?

It seems to get better if you logout of your main account and browse as a guest.

But yeah, choking of forums usually starts at the same time every day.

Confirmed. For me, it's 13:20 local time at the time of this post and it's really slow and may take minutes to load a page. This is surprising because I would've imagined the site would be fast when the North Americans sleep.

Ok it took me 2 logins and ~30 minutes to get to the far enough to post in this thread.

This issue started around the same time the login page was messed up.
Incredible slow browsing and loading in Firefox and IE, Java and browser up to date, no blocked services and cookies are allowed.

Never had issues with the forum before.
The rest of the site works normal, just the forum pages are incredibly slow.

The forums have been acting very slow for me, too, for example around 10 (GMT +1).

Woah, took 5 minutes to get here. It would be nice if PGI could even acknowledge that the problem exists. But how's this for a hypothesis:

Most founders and older MWO players are mostly from the western hemisphere. Despite them getting pissed off and taking breaks and quitting because of PGI's turtle pace, the game has been getting international attention through various magazines etc. This can be seen in the front page where the Most Popular Forum topics has become unusable for the english speakers because most popular topics are in german, russian and even french.

-> Now that the americas are asleep, the vast foreign userbase is just hogging so much bandwidth that the website does not work and PGI cannot be bothered because "they're gearing up for North America launch".

?

It has been around 1000 local time (GMT+1) and it is also slow now (13440). Though it might be the slowdown phase is now coming to an end.

you mean servers, if they'd create a EU website we most likely get a EU server to play on as well :) I guess we will get that with the release

I've done 4-5 trace route's in the last hour, this is the first one that actually managed to connect with relay-1.mwtactics.com, even if it only managed it once before the timeout spam.

Stop letting the monkeys hump the forum server.

They're supposed to be humping the game servers.
