I'd like to know if this laptop, that is small and lightweight, could run MWO

ULTRASLIM SAMSUNG A4-4355M 13.3 LED 4GB 500GB

Code: NP535U3C-A01IT

It has:

CPU: AMD DC A4-4355M 1.9 GHz (chipset - AMD A70M 1.333 MHz)

RAM: 4GB 1.333 MHz DDR3

GPU: AMD RADEON HD 7400G

Could it run MWO? I don't care about the graphic quality with this.

I'm not buying this for gaming. Just for writing, internet and bringing it everywhere. If this could run MWO I'll be very happy ( It's the only game that doesn't bore me ). Otherwise I'll find for a more convenient LAPTOP.

Thanks a lot for you help.

sadly this laptop can't play MWO

you need to look for at least Quad Core 2.4GHz, GPU best look for Geforce GT650m or GTX750m or for AMD HD 7670M or HD8730M to be at least playable

I can play with an old Desktop dualcore. Had to buy a new graphics card, but besides that it's been working great. (I also happened across some more RAM cards for free to help more, but the old amount worked fine anyway.) A quad core is not needed to play this game, at least not on a Desktop. My knowledge on laptops is limited, to say the least.

It should be able run MWO but don't expect it to be smooth and set all settings to low

http://mwomercs.com/...eveloper-update

minimum GPU required is HD5600/5700 and the HD7400 on that laptop should be better than the minimum one required

http://www.notebookc...0G.82808.0.html

if it can play tomb raider at 27 FPS on low, you should be able to get around the same for MWO

pls don't give the wrong info

the A4 is a very low spec system the game needs at least a dual core at speeds above 2.6GHz but this A4 is like only running at 1.9GHz

that GPU is tied to the A4 so it is really underpowered, maybe only good for blu-ray playback

and don't compare Tomb Raider with this game, they are different game engine

the correct game to compare is Crysis 3 as both MWO and Crysis 3 run on the same game engine which is CryEngine3

get your facts right dude

in order to play this game on a laptop

your laptop will need to exceed the recommend system requirements

the laptop dual core are de-clocked version of the usual desktop variant to save power and reduce heat

which is why i suggest going for at least a quad core based laptops

and the laptops GPU, like the CPU are reduced performance variants using lesser plus lower speed RAM or worst some GPU share memory with the system ram to render the images.

GPU which i mentioned before need to be at least of the AMD HD7670M, HD8730M or above and Geforce range will be the Geforce GT650M and above.

obviously if you want better laptop hardware, the price of the laptop goes up

nothing wrong with going with an AMD APU based laptop.. its probably the cheaper way to go.. and CAN play it but is not PRETTY... if you want PRETTY drop more money and get a laptop/desktop with dedicated graphics card...

BUT

for and AMD APU based laptop it needs to be AT LEAST A8 quadcore...

I'm afraid not. The lowest spec laptop that will play mwo is one with an a10 5600m which is only marginally playable.

Unfortunately no manufacturer seems to think a cheap 13 or 14 inch laptop that can play games is worth having so most a10 laptops 15.6" and more than 2 kilos in weight which makes them heavier than I'd want to carry around for daily use.

Sagers are still the best value for performance - and not with an APU
