When I try and purchase Sarah's mech to donate to this great cause using either Paypal, debit card or credit card it is rejected. The details in my Paypal account say the payment was rejected by the merchant (MWO). I am 100% sure that my cards are not the problem as I have used them earlier today and again just now to buy something from another website.

Are there restrictions on who is allowed to purchase the mech as I cannot see anything on the donation page or the forum post FAQ's.

I recommend contacting support, as the forums aren't searched by them.

Will do, kinda posted here to check it wasn't a common problem.

Definitely check with support@mwomercs.com

Might not hurt to check with your CC provider as well to assure them it's a legitimate transaction.

Not with this, but with other things in the past I've had similar issues. Card companies are very wary of transactions that don't seem to be "like you," and sometimes need to be contacted to assure them it is you and something you intended to do. After trying to buy something similar in concept from another company some years back I got a call the next day asking if it was a transaction that I had intended to do.

I've had a reply from the support team. It turns out MWO's own fraud prevention checking was marking me as suspicious. I've provided some details and hopefully they can get me white listed. Strange as I've bought tons of MC on several occasions in the past and never had a problem.

Besides the prevention check, what I have run into is the address entered needs to match the address the cc/debit card has. If for some reason it is incorrect or a browser add-on prevents the information from going through, then it throws up a red flag.

Can't buy Sarah's Mech either but due to a different reason. The "Click To Purchase" link on http://mwomercs.com/sarah is broken. Tried IE and Firefox browsers but same thing on both. How are you guys able to buy it? (Sent in a support request already.)

My prayers and condolences to the Parries' family and friends.

The click to purchase works fine for me, are you running any adblocks or popup blocks that may be preventing it? It needs to generate a javascript popup frame element.

Disabled pop-up blockers from IE and Firefox, ensured javascript was enabled, Java Control Panel says the browsers can run Java. I doubt my Sophos Antivirus uses any pop-up blockers...still no dice. Even my native Android browser and Google Chrome on a Samsung Tablet doesn't register any action after clicking the purchase button. Safari on iPad doesn't work either. We'll see what support has in store. Thanks for the tip though, Redshift2k5.

SOLVED:

In summary, "https" has to be in the URL for the buttons to work, not "http." Steps leading to the original problem below.

1. I visited http://mwomercs.com/sarah (unsecured) instead of https://mwomercs.com/sarah (secured). The "Click To Login & Get Sarah's Jenner" button does not work on the unsecured URL.

2. After I log in from https://mwomercs.com/sarah button (support person "Urdson" gave me the link), the page reloads and the URL shows "http://mwomercs.com/sarah?donate=true", and shows my pilot name. Note that the https disappears - and the purchase button does not work.

3. When "https" was inserted into the URL (as https://mwomercs.com/sarah?donate=true), the purchase button worked, and the UltimatePay pop-up appeared.

I've sent this on to MWOMERCS support now as contacting the Payment Provider has been a complete waste of time as they seem to be an ESOL sweat shop. I've used PayPal for years and never had a problem, and they confirmed with me within hours that they problem for the payment was on the 'vendor' side. The Payment Provider finally respond, with a stock box standard answer that was less than helpful.

Little annoyed that I can't contribute. Grrr...me go shoot stuff now.

Same problem here. Ever since I moved to China, I can't pay anything through UltimatePay.
Other Games work fine, Stuff like Kickstarters or HumbleBundle accept my paypal or my card without issues.

I contacted my card providers, ultimatepay, my banks and everything... nothing. I am still banned from throwing my money at Mechs.

I just contacted MWO support to get white-listed, I didn't know that was possible. Let's pray for the best.

Otherwise, please consider offering Alipay payment options. It's a very big, if not the biggest, third-party payment option in asia.

So I think that I have found a fix!

I was getting simaler errors & card declined msg's. Apparently its ultimatepay's systems. I found this out after a couple of long Q&A sessions with my bank.

After a fare bit of digging I found the direct line to ultimatepay coustmer servace & support line. (1-877-703-6339)

Hope it helps!
