I've been thinking back, and the entire time I have played this game there has not once been a C-Bill sale.

Is it because dividing it might give a cost like "3,678,237.125 C-Bills"

Or is there another reason?

I was not aware that one could just ever buy C-Bills, do you mean to have the option to buy them? Perhaps you mean MC?

Why have a c-bill sale when they sell the same mechs for MC?

I think what he means are C-bill price reductions, in addition or instead of MC price reductions. For example, have a sale where the AS7-K Atlas is only 9 million C-bills, instead of over 13.5 million.

I wouldn't have a problem with it personally, but since the only price you pay for C-bills is grinding, and less grinding means less playing, and less playing means fewer testers online and for less time, I don't see any positive for PGI.

I think OP is referring to buying Cbills with MC, sometime seen in MMORPG.
But until Cbills have real value in the game, this sales will not attract buyer.

He's talking about buying things for cbills at a reduced price.

I voted no as its just a grind to get them. No real reason to offer discounts when you just need to play a few more games.

Want a cbill sale, buy premium time. Instant 33% off your purchases (since PT gives you an extra 50% cbill earn), play a hero for a 20% discount. Or play a hero with PT and get 53% discount.

I have all 36 mechs that I own set up the way I want them. I won't be buying any MC for a while, so no new bays or Heroes for me. I have 20+million banked and just watching it grow as I grind XP to master them all. By the time I buy new mechs I'll have plenty to fit them out right without a worry. And once I master those, I'll have plenty more.

May be a long time too since I have 12 incoming with the PP Overlord pack. Granted, they will need to be fitting out.

I have no idea what the OP is asking for... I guess he wat to have sales on the stuff we buy for In-game currency. But that woudl be rather counter-productive from a business pov as it is better to have a sale on Premium time (this have the same effect, only that it also makes PGI/IGP money.)

In this case...OP stands for "Original Poster".....OP is also commonly used for "Over Powered" or "Omni Potent" ex: "PPCs are OP right now..."

I voted "I don't care" because to me the MC sales we already get make perfect sense. They entice people to buy MC to purchase the sale items, which means more money for PGI. C-Bill sales, while I wouldn't mind getting more for my grinding, don't really have any incentive to them.

In general I don't think there is enough promotions going on. The sales on the MC prices of mech we can buy with C-bills are just lame. How about sales on mechbays, sales on mech, sales on MC, many more sales on colors and camos, 2x XP weakends, 20% C-bill weekends, etc.

I don't find CB that hard to grind, but I would partake in a sale should one occur mind you. I am sure things like this wuold come about but for now I just want them fleshing out CW and fixing the issues that need fixing.

Would I like them? Sure. Will they happen? Probably not. Though I think having a 1 week cbill sale on any newly released mech might not be a bad idea to get them out there, or maybe a 10% discount on this month's trial mechs (A "You like it? You buy it!" sale, besides, they have to do something with all the slightly used mechs, and you can't get the noob smell out).

I think it would have to be a 10% discount. Anything more, and you have people screaming (I just bought that mech! I've owned that mech for months, I want my back!), and anything less isn't worth noticing.

But given it's all in-game with , I doubt it. When's the last time any MMO had an in game currency discounted item sale?
