Getting much better FPS

THANK YOU. Muuuuch better.
Before: Quite often I'd run 37 fps. then dip down to 25 or 23 during heavy combat or if I had lots of smoke particles in my face (from autocannons, deaths, ambient fires, laser drags along the ground, etc)
Now: It's running stable at around 53fps, dips down to 41 or so during combat. And these are at Very High Settings, with even more things cranked up through the User.cfg file.

P.S: However I still get heavy fps dips when in front of smoke or in smoke. I'm not sure why, but being super close to particle effects does something weird.

Lockups are even worse this patch. De-synching every match for 4-5 seconds on 120 second intervals makes your game unplayable.

Started last patch but it was only once every 4-5 minutes (about three times per match) now it's every 2 minutes, about 7 times per match.

Prior to the patch before this one I had almost no "freeze" lockup issues since you fixed the new cry-engine issues.

Basically, the game is unplayable still, but even more so.

Update: After peak hours the incidence of "freezing" in mid game goes down again to the previous level of 2-3 times a game. Perhaps it has something to do with server load.

Someone tell PIG: removing detail from the game != optimization.

Go ahead and yank detail from the lower graphical settings all you want, but don't reduce the amount of detail displayed the high end. I've got my framerate limited to 63 fps by MSI Afterburner, and my 3x Radeon 7970s are barely turning over (25% utilization).

Uncapped, I've seen 275+ fps using the Bioshock.exe profile. Six month ago, that same setup would see half that framerate, not because the game was less optimized, but because PIG is only popping high-resolution textures at 100m range on maximum settings.

I get more FPS but now encounter instances where my FPS tanks completely when using a Zoom mode in a brawl without Thermal or Night Vision.

Hit detection is terrible now. Spiders and Victors with shots that go into the ether are prevalent.

Hit detection got worse this patch. It is simply atrocious. Averaging 4 out of 1 hits with gauss. Many times both me and enemy standing almost still. 130ping

Only time I get a loss in fps is when SMOKE is on the screen, you might need to look into it. I go 90 to 30 with smoke (esp when I'm hot and backing so I see my own coolant smoke). i7 2600, hd7950

Other than this, i'm noticing less slowdowns when action goes down.

A very slight increase in fps. (3-5)
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.

Performance drops when using heat vision or while playing Frozen City Day and a blizzard is occuring. No massive snow effect going on performance is fine on Frozen City day. All other maps unaffected.

Be advised: I use a frame rate limiter to keep from constantly dipping into the high-20s. With limiter, I can stay in the 40s.

All framerate drops are accompanied by GPU utilization drops

For me the game runs well - FPS on Very High in the 40s and smooth despite having 142kph in my Cicada - High Speed usually led to high frequency stuttering and forced me to lower the settings.

Encountered some warping Mechs but i think that was on their side as others behaved smooth.

Ping is better compared to the previous Version as far as i noticed but there was no Weekend yet.

Performance is mathematically the same, but hit registration is way off, much worse than before.

Ran a few rounds yesterday in my Heavy Metal (my best mech by far, 240+ matches averaging at 400+ damage per round according to mech stats), had great fights, good brawls at less than 100m, lots of red crosshair and flashing....but nearly no damage.

My rounds came down to an average of 150damage despite surviving quite long, best round being 184 damage.

I won't pretend I'm a pro player, but I really don't miss that many shots, and I didn't play any different than before that patch.

It's already bad enough when you're from Germany, just under 200 ping sucks - but if point blank shots don't register on a regular basis, it's unplayable.

I will have to wait for the next patch.

My performance goes up by +~20 fps on the startup and +~10 fps on close fight. Was 55-40 now 75-50.
All settings on high. No vertical sync Res - 1680x1050.
Motion blur settings is not working again.

FPS all in all stable but sometimes they go faster down to hell than Xena did in season 5 (or 6?)...from 30+-ish down to 3 or less. Happend last match three times. Slight decrease since last patch (2-3 fps maybe)

Settings:
details: all very high - only particles set to low; postAA activated
resolution: 1280x720, windowed, V-Sync deactivated
motion blur: off

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H
CPU: i5 3450 @ 3,1 GHz
Graphics: Radeon 6670 (1 GB GDDR5)

running besides MW:O is Windows Media Player (or vlc-player)

Also quite annoying - never happend beforehand (to me), now once:
My mouse went out of the window - *right-click* (to fire weapons) --> display settings opend up.

Its acctually quite the oposite. Canyon network seems to getting best FPS out of all maps, and frozen city, is slowest and riddled with texture bugs.

Ping has increased by approximately 50. I had just turned interleaving off to get to around 200, is now back up to 250. Cant seem to hit anything, hits show but no damage. Gone from getting 2 - 3 kills per round to insta death as soon as I see a mech. Getting hits registering on the back from damage arriving in the front. Pretty much un playable now without extreme amounts of frustration.

Whats the deal?

I've been playing this game at 1920x1080 at medium for a few months.
Now with this latest patch I've dropped to around 11-18 fps at those settings. I don't know what the frames were before, it was smooth so I never bothered checking.

At low settings I get 18-25 fps. I can tell it's still worse than last version since it's not smooth, but it's playable at least.

Specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Acer AMD Phenom II X4 810 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
6144MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
