PGI,

Hero mechs are cool and all, but it would be very nice to be able to pay MC for c-bill\XP boosts applied towards regular variants. You could even go so far as to make these boosts more expensive than hero mechs, just to incentive people to still buy the heroes. I know that I, and many other players, would still buy the boosts for favored variants despite higher costs. Plus it's more money for you. Do it.

I agree with this post, and sorry if this is a little forum necrophilia...

You could even have an option on all 'mech variants that would allow it to have a higher MC cost and it becomes a "hero 'mech". Currently, I want the JM6-S but as a new player I am better served getting a hero 'mech to quickly acquire resources etc... I don't like the Firebrand hardpoints... it would be nice to spend the same MC of the Firebrand on the JM6-S and it give me the hero rewards. You keep the paint job and I'll keep playing... we both win.
