Thought I'd finally take the 3PV for a spin, for entertainment purposes of course. It was as fun as going to the dentist but it should offer good entertainment for the viewers. Enjoy

Anyone else tried out the 3pv? It's not very popular I know, but what was it like for you when you tried it? I found the biggest crutch to be the armlock which pretty much made me miss a bunch of shots and my aiming to be slow. I saw no advantage in playing in 3pv, although I've seen macks 3pv rant so I guess you do get a small advantage on river city because the buildings are just big enough not to see anything in 1pv but able to see above in 3pv, but that's a map problem really. If pgi makes their future maps smart (and removes river city / forest colony / frozen city) then I don't see 3pv being a problem at all. I don't really think its a problem right now either. It's bit of a nightmare to play with it on because of the above mentioned armlock issues.

i tried it, and it basically feels like a slower mech assault...not to knock ma, since I played it a bunch on orignal xbox, but yeah, i dont much care for it on here. I should give it a shot with my logitech F710 and see how it goes...

Don't use it for anything but peeking over hills really.
River City, Tourmaline, and Forest Colony especially. The ridge and some buildings on Frozen City are good for this too.
If you're using triple monitor, you get to see literally all around your mech in nearly every direction though, huge advantage.

I thought I'd be doing that too but I never seem to remember to do it, lol. I guess I'm too used to playing 1pv and just cant remember to switch to 3pv if you wanna see over a building or ridge.
