PGI admitting they messed up? I guess that'd be too much to ask. Don't be afraid to admit your community is right, they're the ones actually "playtesting" what comes out.

And what would that really get them? More snide remarks. Because even when they try to do something people want, they still get dumped on.

Wait, what? When was the last time they did something the community wanted? I'm pretty sure all we want is competitive balance and community warfare. What's our current progress on either concept? oh, right.

You're right. We're still in the LRM apocalypse. Everyone is still just boating PPCs only. We're only doing 8v8. And there's no such thing as movement penalties over angled terrain. MGs still do no damage. LBX spread wasn't improved recently.
I mean that's not to say they've done nothing but right. They did waste time with 3PV and cut our C-bills because we were apparently making too much. But that doesn't mean I'm going to talk trash on the every attempt they make to better the game. If you guys want them to scale mechs accordingly, keep the feedback for that going. But insulting PGI does nothing to help and only drives off people who are tired of reading through threads of mockery.

Well, they would have been further along but they had to change direction when everyone demanded 3pv. I mean, they had little choice, we were all screaming for it. All of the polls said so. /sarcasm

Well, I'm not sure reversing LRM apocalypse counts seeing as how it was a dev-made bug, and I'm not sure if anyone really ASKED for the movement penalties. And yeah, MGs. Spider pilots are certainly enjoying them, along with their broken hitboxes.
And I don't know if you know, but everyone STILL IS PPC boating.
There isn't a whole lot of negativity around for no reason here, comrade. The prevailing feeling around here did not develop in a vacuum.

I was playing MW4 the other day and they had movement penalties in that. And while no one asked for it. They are the developers it is well within their right to implement systems even if they aren't asked for. And it was the players themselves that were complaining, and apparently continue to do so after the recent nerf, that MGs were/are too weak.
Sure people are still boating PPCs. But in the matches I'm in. It isn't everyone that is doing it. It's surprisingly more varied then it was a few months ago.
I didn't say people didn't have a right to be mad. But we lose more from just attacking the devs. Then we gain. It makes it harder for them to communicate with us. Alienates parts of the playerbase that want to stay out of pointless drama.

Have you ever seen a tall guy and a short guy walking up steps at the same time? The tall guy can just take them two at a time and ascend with much less effort than the short guy, simply because he has longer legs. PGI has managed to implement a system where the big mech gets stuck on stupid obstacles it could literally just step over.

Actually you've got it backwards. Does an ant slow down while moving up a mound? no. Do you slow down while climbing up a hill? yes. smaller steps, lower elevation to cover, less energy spent on overcoming elevation, more energy left for speed.
class dismissed.
I agree, thought, that an atlas shouldn't get stuck on a pebble, but that a light should actually trip on that pebble. pebble = 1ton rock

I'm not a part of any of the pointless forum drama, but I recognize where they're coming from. The culprits are to a very large degree Founders and above, and they've seen what they've invested in go far and away from what they were promised. Power to 'em.
Anyway, I merely had an issue with you saying they've given us what we've wanted. Nobody asked for the movement system, whether it makes sense or not (it needs tweaking but I'm not necessarily opposed); they simply do not listen to their player base and give us crazy, convoluted and arbitrary systems like Ghost Heat and 3PV, while releasing a string of mechs that are oversized and thusly DOA.
I have not seen a decline in PPC usage to be honest, but different experiences on that subject, so no point opposing one another on it.
